OSHKOSH NORTH "Spartan "Stars of Tomorrow" Basketball Program: The basketball program Is LYNNE LEEDLE School: Jefferson Elementary School What I do: I try to do whatever I can to make the staff's jobs easier, the students' days brighter, and to show the parents and visitors to our school just how special their children are to us.

What I love about my job: I love the kids! I love their energy, their smiles, their curiosity and the variety each day brings. I am so fortunate to be able to work with appreciative staff and to be part of the "Jefferson family." Why she is an asset to the school: Lynne is an asset to Jefferson because she is always ready and willing to assist in any way she can. Lynne wears many hats each day. Before school begins, Lynne can be found laminating projects for teachers between running copies, fielding office phone calls, or supervising the playground. Once school begins, Lynne is the media assistant helping students find books and running book checkout.

When she finishes that task, she may be off to the Dental Clinic, calming the fears of students as they head to have their teeth cleaned and cavities filled. During the lunch hour, Lynne supervises the office while filling in as a secretary and nurse. The list of Lynne's responsibilities are endless, depending on the day. Lynne always has a cheerful, warm, caring attitude regardless of the work assignment she's completing. She is a lovely person to work with both personally and professionally.

Jefferson School is a better place because of Lynne. Nominated by Jefferson staff. ABOUT THE AWARD The Gold Star Award recognizes outstanding educators, volunteers and others who work with children in local schools.
