Chaddock has since suffered intense pain and theloss of the eye incapacitates him from doing well at his trade, which is that of a carpenter. The case was begun Thursday and a night session was held, at which time arguments began over some law points which lasted until nearly 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The jury was excused during the session. The defense desire to throw the case out of court. The matter was taken under advisement by the Court until next Tuesday.when the case may or may not go to the jury.

C. B. Potter vs. Joseph Burkhard. This suit Is brought to recover $500 for legal services alleged in the case of Burkhard Bros.

vs. Plank's Tavern, in which the plaintiff subscribed $200 toward the project, Ths case was won in both the Circuit and Supreme Courts and the Burkhards claim to have paid Potter $60 all be, first asked, 'tis said, for bis services. The case was a test one as a large amount of money was subscribed toward the project, but Burkbard's Interest was only $200. The case came on for trial yesterday afternoon, and a session was held last night, when arguments of counsel closed. Adjourned to Tuesday morning.
