A high official source confirmed to the United Press today that ths outstanding feature of the special message Henderson was taking to German government was a warning that conscription was imminent.

Diplomatic sources reported that Henderson was instructed to tell the German leaders: 1) that the British government Is 100 per cent behind the President's peace appeal' 2) that In the British view Germany ought to accept the appeal because International tension Is approaching the breaking point- 3) that Britain Is willing to assist Germany In bettering Its foreign trade position and obtaining raw materials; and 4) that unless there is an Immediate sign that Germany Is for constructive peace efforts Britain must Impose conscription. The Cabinet was understood to have agreed in principle at a special meeting last night that (he time had come for compulsory national service. Unless Ambassador Henderson is able to report, by Thursday, that Hitler's speech to the Retchstog will be wouM mean a radical conscription plan may be announced then, It wt? understood. The likelihood of early conscription overshadowed other developments here, including Ihe introduction of the $6,000,000.000 annual budget In the House of Commons this afternoon and the appointment of the Marquess of Lothian, one time confidential secretary to David George and until recently a member of the "Cliveden Set" often attacked a pro-German, as ambassador to the United States, MOUNTAIN T.TON STEAK TRIED Ely, Nev. lions as food are highly recommended bv Mr.
