Wednesday. September 4, 2002 8C Ladysmith Tornado Liuhr-Tkugram 53 Jeff Scanlon checked out his neighbor's apartment which lost its roof. Scanlon and four others survived the storm unharmed while in their second floor apartments. on spouted Ladysmith residents, whose community and lives were left in shambles by a tornado Monday, wasted no time rolling up their sleeves and helping each other pick up the pieces. Schultz was upstairs but luckily went into the basement to put a load of laundry in the dryer when the tornado hit. Bruce rescued two children from a car after the church collapsed and buried a car in the parking lot.
