Ing request from Bellevue, 8 for information concerning Joseph Hortseh, Revolutionary soldier, supposed to have been burled In a cemetery near Oxford, tha Research club, of the Oxford Township Historical Society, im. 4 mediately started an investigation.

Yesterday the grave was found in Wcodelde cemetery, formerly known as Oxford Township cemetery. The marker was In the Pioneer Square. Tno original burial had been in the old Oxford cemetery which was in the western part of the village, -west of Ccllege avenue and south of Spring street. When this ceme- lery was abandonee! over thirty years ago all such were opened and ttie remains removed to this section of Woodstde cemetery. The finding of the Hodsen grave is just one example of the func- tloning of this research committee.

Any clue that may lead lo interesting facts concerning oxford's past is followed up and reports are made at each meeting.
