Johan "Jack" Long Johan "Jack" Long, 79, 2617 Haanstad Road, passed away Saturday, Nov. 13, 1993, at Luther Hospital. He was bom in Stanley and had been an Eau Claire resident most of his life. He owned and operated Long Sport Shop until his retirement. He married Muriel Romundstad in 1939 at Strum.

She preceded him in death in 1985. In 1986 he married Dolores Soderberg at First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. He attended St. Olaf College for four years and was a member of the choir. Jack was a member of Masonic Lodge No.

112 in Eau Claire, where he transferred from Braden Lodge No. 168 in Minnesota. He joined the Scottish Rite in May of 1951. He received the Meritorious Service Award in 1982. He was a member of Eau Claire Consistory, Zor Temple, Mehara Shrine, was past president of the Lions Gub, past president of Scandanavia Culture Institute and past president of the Water Street Businessmans Association.

He served on the Eau Claire City Commission for Transportation and was a member of Board of Directors Sun Burst Youth Home of Neillsville, was active at First Lutheran Church, the Boy Scouts of America, and with the Eau Claire Ski Club and Flying Eagles. Survivors include his wife, Dolores; a son, John (Virginia) of N. Canton, Ohio; three daughters, Martha (John) Gaustad of River Falls, Janet (Dale) Drevlow of Eau Claire, Ruth (Steve) Bodenschatz of Hayward; seven grandchildren; a sister, Lillian Excog of Eau Claire; a brother, Rudolph of Stanley; stepchildren, Dr. David (Joan) Soderberg of Janesville, Tina (Ron) Wyss Garrett, Dr. Dale (Bonnie) Soderberg of New Richmond, Trevor and Tiffany, Dr.

Dennis (Jane) Soderberg of Baldwin, Selena, Darrin and Anna Rae, Sally (Richard) Northrop, Melissa and Amy, Linda (Ben) Lightfoot He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha Thorpe Long and John J. Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Mary "Maye" Jones CHIPPEWA FALLS Mary "Maye" Jones, 90, 222 Chapman Road, Chippewa Falls, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1993, at Chippewa Manor Nursing Home. She was bom April 13, 1903, in town of Colburn, to Charles and Eva (Ward) Moore. She grew up in the Huron area.

Maye married James Bruce Jones Sept. 17, 1922, in Cornell. They lived in' Huron and then in Saginaw, moving to Chippewa Falls in 1938. She worked for many years at Pollyanna Bakery and then worked for Naborhood Bakery, both in Chippewa Falls, until she retired in 1967. She had beed a resident at Chippewa Manor since May of 1990.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and its United Church Women, was past matron of the Order of. "HOOVER, Justin Rock Falls died Saturday in an automobile accident in the town of Lima, Pepin County. Services will be at 11 ajn. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rock Falls, with burial in the church cemetery.

Tuesday at the funeral chapel Isabell Ward MENOMONIE Isabell Ward, 82, of Menomonie, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1993, at Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie. She was born and raised in Beaver Dam. She was born Sept. 1, 1911, the daughter of Fred and Hazel (Wadleigh) She married John Ward in 1931 in Beaver Dam.

In 1933 they moved to La Crosse, where they owned and operated the La Crosse and Modem Laundries. John died in 1955. From 1964 until 1972 Isabell was head resident in several women's dormitories at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. In 1972 she moved to Menomonie, where she remained the rest of her life. She has been a resident of the health-care center for the past three years.

She traveled extensively with her husband in Europe and around the world. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Menomonie. She enjoyed painting, drawing and ceramics. Survivors include two sisters, Doris (Eugene) Waltzer and Eldine (Bernard) Maas, both of Beaver Dam; a daughter-in-law, Sallie Ward of Menomonie; a granddaughter, Sarah Ward of Menomonie; a grandson, Bayard (Mary) Ward of Milwaukee; four nephews, Terry, Neal, and Clive Perschke, and Dale Maas. She was preceded in death by her par-.

ents; her husband; a son, Robert in 1986; a nephew, Dennis Maas in 1988. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church in Menomonie, with the Rev. Marilynn Rushton officiating. Burial of the ashes will be at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery in La Crosse.

He died in 1982. Clara married Ahin G. Fisher March 5, 1988, in Eau Claire. He died March 25, 1988. She worked at Luther Hospital until retiring in 1973.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Wicklund of Eau Claire; ten grandchil-. dren; ten great-grandchildren; Julia Smith of Menomonie and Leona (Leif)Holan of dear Lake, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arne and Alvin; her daughters, Maxine and Jerene; a brother, James. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St.

Michael Goebel GILMAN Michael Wayne "Coach" Goebel, 26, Route 1, Gilman, town of Colburn, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1993, at Victory Medical Center emergency room in Stanley as the result of a farm accident He was born Feb. 25, 1967, in Chippewa Falls, to David and Alexis (Lencz) Goebel. He grew up in the Gilman area, attended area schools, and graduated from Gilman High School in 1985, where he played football, basketball and baseball. He attended University of Wisconsin-Stout, Menomonie, working toward a degree in teaching where he also played football and baseball.

At the time of his death he was working at vari- ous jobs for the attainment of his degree. This past summer he played baseball with the Wittlsey baseball club. He was known for his volunteering, where he helped coach the Gilman High School Baseball Team to the 1993 Cloverbelt Championship. He was a spiritual person displayed by his teaching CCD. classes at Ss.

Peter and Paul Parish in Gilman. Survivors include his parents, David and Alexis Goebel of Gilman; his girlfriend, Amy Warner of Gilman; two brothers, Joseph (Lisa) and Donald (Kate), both of Menomonie; five sisters, Angela (Mike) Schroeder of River Falls, Candice, Janice, Anna, and Elizabeth, all at home; paternal grandmother, Clara Goebel of Gilman, maternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Lenca of Gilman; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Arline Clifton Jackovich APPLETON Arline' A. Clifton Jackovich, 80, of Appleton, died I Justin Hoover ROCK FALLS Justin William Hoover, 14, of Rock Falls died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1993, in an automobile accident in town of Lima, Pepin County. He was bom Nov. 2L 1978, to Jerald and Janette (Fedie) Hoover, in Menomonie.

He lived his entire life with his family in Rock Falls. He was a freshman at Durand High School and was active in sports. He loved hunting, fishing and music. He was a member of Rock Falls Rockets Club and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rock Falls.

He will be greatly missed by all who loved him and by those whose lives he touched with his great wit and wonderful personality. Justin is survived by his parents, Jerald and Janette; three brothers, Travis, Derek and Darren, all of Rock Falls; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at St.

He was born June 7, 1948,. in Wisconsin Rapids, to Martin Jr. and Virginia (Kiedrowski) Helke. Lee graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids in 1966. He attended Madison Technical College and received a machinist degree in 1968.

He then attended Stout State University in Menomonie for three years before becoming a partner in Quality Builders. In 1978 Lee started Menomonie Builders, which he presently owned and operated. He married Nan Secraw Aug. 16, 1978, at Little Elk Creek Lutheran Church-in Menomonie. He was a past member of Wisconsin National Guard, Co.

128trr Inf. (M). He was a member of Chippewa Valley Builders Association and Little Elk Creek Lutheran Church. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. Survivors include his wife, Nan Helke of Menomonie; two daughters, Amanda, age 11, and Laura, age 7, and a son, Ryan, age 5, all at home; his parents, Martin Jr.
