"The Shooting of Dan McGrew" is the feature picture now showing at the Palace theatre. It is an adaptation of the famous poem of the Yukon by Robert Service, "The Spell of the Yukon," and is worked but in full for the film version, the early part of the story, which leads up to the celebrated shooting, taking place in the South Sea Isles and New York. The variety of setting offers a wonderful chance for a succession of thrills. The picture is superbly acted by Barbara La Marr as Lou, Percy Marmont as the Stranger, and Lew Cody, who portrays Dangerous Dan McGrew. Mae Busch and George Siegrnann are included in the excel- cast.

The result is a remarkably well-knit picture.
