Micky Davis, supervisor of !IH center, reports thai, the number of tourists visiting the center "iis year is 30 per cent above the figure for the comparable period last year. Davis said that 2,360 tourists topped for information in the month of June, a large increase Irom tlie 745 tourists stopping in May of this year. Last year's count for tourists and travel c r s flopping in Juno was 2.001. Going into (he second week in •July. 1.005 tourists had stopped here this season. Youth Corps Workers Perform for Patients ; BENTON, Ark. USE DAILY GLOBE WANT ADS Porcupines Park Uselncreases Use of the campgrounds in the Porcupine Mountains State Park has shown a steady increase in recent weeks, it is reported by the Michigan Conservation Department. For the period of 1965 through the week ending June 27, there were 364 camping permits, 802 annual permits and 1,752 daily permits issued at the park. By July 5, 667 camping, 1,049 annual and 2,353 daily permits had been issued, almost doubling the camping permits and showing a big increase in ann u a 1 and daily permits in iust one xvr-ek's time. White state park officials continue work on the trails and cabins in the Porcupines State Park, cabin use by tourists is -jn the increase. In comparison to last year's figures for the same time period, there were a total of 608 camping, 1,056 annual and 3.335 daily permits issued, an increase in camping permits but a slight drop in annual and a big drop in daily permits.
