For the New Year's Eve party, [these individual chicken or turkey sandwiches baked with melted [cheese over them would be very welcome. Saucy Chicken or Turkey Sandwiches (Yield: 8 sandwiches) One-quarter cup butter or margarine. !/< cup enriched flour, 1 pint milk, ! J / 2 cups grated process heese. 16 slices enriched bread .sr, 1 cu., whole cranberry sauce, 16 slices cooked chicken or turkey. Melt butter in a saucepan; blend m flour. Add milk mid cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add cheese and stir until it melts. Trim crusts from toast. '/4 teaspoon ginger, \ l /z teaspoons lemon extract. Method: Pour boiling water over pork. Add molasses and sugar; beat well. Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored; stir into molasses mixture. Mix raisins, dates and glace fruit with >& cup of the flour. Sift remaining 3'/ 2 cups flour with baking soda, cloves, cinnamon and ginger; add to molasses mixture; mix .thoroughly.
