Briggs, 67, a 64-year resident of New Philadelphia and a 10-year resident of Lee Hotel, died Sunday night in Union Hospital. in Ypsilanti, preceded in death'by his parents, David and Nannie Berrier Briggs; his wife, Grace Robson Briggs, a brother and sister. Briggs was a retired painter. Surviving are 4 brothers, Blair, Quay and Russell of New Philadelphia and Claud of Sebr- Ing, and 2 sisters, Mrs.

Melvin (Helen) Bigler of New Philadelphia and Mrs. Paul (Ruth) Neiman of Dover. Services will be Wednesday at in Linn-Herl-Gcib Funeral Home with Elder Glenn Carlisle officiating. Burial will be in East Avenue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Mrs. Nora Kingston DENNISON Mrs. Nora Kingston, 92, who resided with Mr, and Mrs. Paul Stratum at 412 N. 4th died Sunday night In Twin City Hospital.

She had been ill for several years. Born at Dunmanway, County Cork, Ireland, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ellen Hurley Hayes. A former resident of Chicago, she had resided here 15 years and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Katherine McCarthy of Boston.

Her husband, Samuel, died in 1946. A brother and 3 sisters preceded her in death. Services will be Wednesday at a.m. in Immaculate ception Church with Rev. Fr.

Born at Jackson, he was a son of the late Edward and Jane Caldwell. He retired in 1952 with 33 years as a Pennsylvania Railroad derrick engineer.

Mrs. Russell Raymer COSHOCTON Mrs. Russell T. (Ethyle) Raymer 78, of 603 Cambridge died Saturday night in the extended care unit of Coshocton County Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born here, a daughter of the late Ad'am and Jane Bramnon Denzer, she was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and past president ol Coshocton Women's Club and the OLDA PODRIDA.

She attended Marietta College. Surviving are her husband, Russell; a daughter, Mrs. S. Glenn (Betty) Bell of here; a son, Russell Jr. of here; 3 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Louis Miller COSHOCTON Louis Miller, 82, died Sunday in the Foreman Nursing Home where he resided several years. Born in Romania, a son of the late Nick and Maria Korn Meller, he retired as an employe of Clow Corp. in 1944 after 32 years service. Surviving are Michele Sciacca; his widow, 4 daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Nell) Wilson of Co- lum'bus, Mrs.

Meese, 36, of 631 Logan st. was fined a total of $182.40 Saturday when he appeared before Mayor Eugene Hart on charges stemming from an incident Friday. Meese was fined $126.20 and sentenced to 6 months in the county jail on charges of driving while under the influence of alcohol with all but 3 days of the jail term suspended, providing he pays the fine and costs in full. He also was fined $56.20 for disorderly conduct. Richard Brown, 29, of Main Tuscarawas, was fined $16.20 for intoxication and disorderly conduct.

The committee of 12 master teachers in special education from Tuscarawas, Holmes, Harrison, Jefferson, Carroll, Coshocton, Belmont, Guernsey and Muskingum counties is working to increase the learn- ing efficiency of handicapped children through teacher-made materials. The newsletter will be sent to 180 teachers and supervisors in the 9-county area and deals with teacher ideas and teacher-made materials. Israelis blast Suez targets TEL AVIV (AP) Israeli warplanes struck intermittently for more than three hours today at Egyptian military targets along the central sector of the Suez Canal, a military spokesman said. The spokesman said all aircraft returned safely. The Israeli raid followed at least one heavy air strike by Egypt in the occupied Sinai Peninsula along the Suez Canal.
