Acaaiaa and pepper trees with their feathery foliage and a many weeping' willows making lovely bright spots with their light-green leaves and long sweeping graceful branches To the north-west a brighter gleaming stretch of water shows the great bay has thrust out its arm to clasp tbe valley and on its shore --are little villages so far away we can just distinguish them We lingered for a while drinking in the beauty of the scene and then descended from our lofty -perch with quite a different opinion of the town We found verypleaaant airy rooms in the Hensley House over the Post office and in' the business cen- tre where we can overlook the principal streets and command a fine view of the valley and the sweep of mountains We have since explored the town pretty thoroughly and have found many lovely parks kept in exquisite order and fine private grounds in which the owners kindly permit the public to enter and take a peep at the many beauties with which they are adorned Tbe
