Toni Morelli, one of the roughest junior heavyweights hereabouts, ran up his third Win in as many weeks also by defeating Johnny James, two out of three falls in the semi.

A pair of fast, clever junior heavies, Chet Hayes and Jose Lopez, wrestled Jo a 30-minute draw in the opener. In Ann Arbor, Crisler, who previously said he would remain as athletic director at the University, declined comment on the report or on his plan.

The story said Crisler has negotiated for a position in Chicago that presumably will pay several times his salary of $14,500 at Michigan. A friend of Crisler's was quoted as saying: "He will become a Jim Farley, an expediter or a front man" at around $50,000 a year. I CBE.T SHIP Pickets wiH be placed before Uip S.S. Massmar of the Calmar Lines when she arrives in port at Long Beach today, it was announced by the Marine Engineers Beneficial Association (CIO). The union has been on a nationwide strike against Calmar since last week over maintenance of the union shop clause in their contract, said W. H. Buttram, business manager for the MEBA in San Pedro.

TAKE OFF MARKAY SCRAP David Needle, president of Needle Sons, who holds the contract for removal of the Markay hulk from Berth 167, said today he expected to have the job completed by the end of next month. Approximately 2,000 tons of steel have been removed since early February from the vessel, now afloat, and Needle said that as soon as another 1,500 tons are removed, the vessel will be beached and cutting operations continued. Site for beaching the vessel has not been announced. The Huntington Park firm, which bid $73,465 on the job, has until the end of June to complete work under the contract. Fred Riley is in charge of the firm's salvage operation at the harbor.

HONOR CUSTOMS OFFICER Judson M. Greene, 67, who 45 years ago joined the pustoms service to become the youngest officer in the district of Vermont, yesterday retired as the senior employe of the post customs office. Greene, who resides in San Pedro, says "45 years is a long time when you look ahead and not so long when you look back." On vacation until his official retirement April 13 the deputy collector in charge of the marine division, will be honored tomorrow night at a dinner at the Assistance League clubhouse. More than 150 customs office employees, both from the harbor and Los Angeles offices, steamship men, brokers and others are expected to gather for the farewell dinner. An inveterate fresh-water fisherman, Greene has been casting a loving eye on his rods, reels and other paraphernalia.

He has scheduled a leisurely cross-country trailer trip, destination, Florida, and many a stream will wet his line enroute. Greene has been 28 years with the harbor district office. PAYS OIL SPILL FTNE Chief Engineer Richard Lowery of the S.S. Douglas Victory has paid a $100 fine in Municipal court here for an oil spill Saturday from the ship. Lowery was cited for a bunkering overflow at Berth 230-B by C.
