4 SUNDAY, AUGUST 29, 2004 CELEBRATIONS FALLS COURIER ANNIVERSARIES WATERLOO and Wilma brating their anniversary with and a card shower. George Oldenburger of Kesley and Wilma Frey of Parkersburg were married in Dubuque on Aug. 22, 1940. Mr. Oldenburger retired from McCoy Truck Lines after a long career on the road that began with being a school route driver of a horse "bus." He proceeded to be an over semi driver and later was the dock manager and then vice president of McCoy Truck Lines at retirement.

Mrs. Oldenburger began as a telephone operator, then homemaker, George's bookkeeper and business partner, mother, grandmother, and now great-grandmother. In their retirement, they have kept busy with a salvage hobby, tending roses and their yard, and always available to help their fami- CEDAR FALLS Lynn and Karen Barnes celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. They were married Aug. 10, 1974, at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Barnes vacationed two weeks touring the Banff and Jasper National Park area in Alberta, Canada. While traveling in the USA, they toured Yellowstone and Glacier national parks. Mr.

Barnes works at GMAC in customer service, and Mrs. Barnes teaches first grade at Orange Elementary in Waterloo. They have two sons, Josh and wife Laura Barnes of Bettendorf CEDAR FALLS Dewey Olmstead, a former resident of Cedar Falls, and his wife, Donna Sue Maffenbier Olmstead, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. She was born Sept. 6, 1924, in Dumont and married Harold Harms on Dec. 6, 1945. They moved on a farm south of Bristow where she and her husband still reside. Hosting the event will be her children, Jackie Harms of Hickman, Keith, Josh and Erin Harms, and Marguerite and Alex Pircer of Cedar Falls.

No invitations are being sent, and no gifts are requested. Anna Nevenhoven APLINGTON Anna Nevenhoven will celebrate her 95th birthday with an open house and family gathering at the Maple Manor assisted living dining room from 2 to 04 p.m. Sept. 11. She was born Sept.

4, 1909, near New Hartford to Jacob and Susie Meester Bergman. She married Charles Nevenhoven Jan. 17, 1934, and he died in 1989. Her family includes Duane and Sally Nevenhoven of Aplington and Ken and Christie Nevenhoven of Long Grove. There are four grandsons and seven great-grandchildren.
