Klunder, 50, collapsed and died of a heart attack Friday night while watching a football game between Allison-Bristow and Greene. Mr. Klunder had been county recorder since Jan. 2, 1964. ; Before being elected to the county office he was employed at the Allison Tribune. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran ; Church northwest of Allison, burial in Allison Cemetery. Survivors are his wife. Esther; a son, Steven of Allison; a daughter. Denise of Glidden; his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Klunder of Allison; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Melusine Klunder of Clarksville. Vogcl Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Miss Adele Hickman WELLSBURG Miss Adele Hickman, 85, formerly of Wellsburg, died Friday afternoon at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Aplington. Reitz of Lime Springs, who serves St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lime Springs, and Fremont Lutheran Church at Harmony, Minn., was elected chaplain of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Big Ten Conference at the national VFW convention in Los Angeles, Calif. I The Big Ten Conference eludes the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin. He is a member of Howard County Post 4561 of the VFW ih Cresco and is now serving, as post chaplain, a position he has held since 1972. He is also Third District VFW chaplain and has been since 1972. Hearing date set in Grundy GRUNDY CENTER A hearing is set for Sept. 12 in Grundy County District Court on motions filed recently in a $350,000 law suit against Grundy County. Janet Stover, plaintiff in the case, recently moved for a change of venue in the trial, and the defense countered with a resistance to the motion. Ms. Stover is suing the county in connection with damages which allegedly resulted when her car crashed at a county road bridge washout north of Conrad on June 23, 1974.
