Mav 27. 1975 fall Networks set Frary slates art workshop Professor Michael Frary of the University of Texas art department will conduct two workshops in watercolor painting this summer in Mexico. The first workshop will be held June 22-July 3 in Morelia, about 200 miles west of Mexico City.

The second workshop is July 3-12 at Oaxaca, an arts and crafts center of Mexico. Participants in the Oaxaca workshop also will paint at the ruins of nearby Monte Alban and at the ancient city of Mitla. Eastwood! THEEIGER I SANCTION I By STEVE HOGNER Amusements Staff Dick Cavett returns to prime-time television this summer with his own variety series as the first part of his new contract with CBS. The series will only run four weeks at 9 p.m. Saturdays beginning Aug.

16 in the time slot occupied by Carol Burnett. Cavett will host the show that will alternate between conversation a la his ABC series and comedy-variety. Also on the CBS summer program slot will be "Joey and Dad," starring Joey Heatherton and her father Ray. "The show will run four weeks in a comedy-variety format beginning at 6:30 p.m. Sunday July 6, in the time post now held by Cher.

CBS will also offer "The Manhattan Transfer" at 6:30 p.m. Sundays for four weeks beginning Aug. 10. The series revolves around The Manhattan Transfer, a quartet who do interpretations of songs of the 1930s and '40s. The networks have finally scheduled and supposedly locked in all seven prime-time nights for this fall.

Following is a schedule of the way things will look in the fall: SUNDAY: THURSDAY: ABC 7 p.m. "Barney Miller';" 7:30 p.m. "On the Rocks;" 8 p.m. "The Streets of San Francisco;" 9 p.m. "Harry CBS 7 p.m.

The networks's surprise draft of Fred Silverman, CBS Wunderkind of night-time programming, should be a real boon to the network. CAN VOL! SPRING MY HUSBAND FROM THE PEN? MY MOVIE HUSBAND? Turkey? Ha! this is enough for two Thanksgivings. shows Rumors are already circulating through trade papers that Silverman may drasticailly change and renovate the ABC fall format with series being dropped and swapped and new series being placed. The summer should be most interesting for ABC But then again, Silverman has had a love affair with ABC since his master's thesis at Ohio State University which was a major survey of ABC programming from 1953 to 1959. ABC finally tmk first place in the Nielsen's with the coverage of the Muhammed Ali and Ron Lyle fight that swept the ratings for the week ending May 18 and the most recent Nielsen's. "Lucas Tanner" and "The Rookies." DOBiE Art entries open By PATRICK TAGGART Amusements Staff If you liked "Murder on the Orient Express," don't make the mistake of assuming that any kind of movie based on an Agatha Christie thriller is going to be a plum. "Ten Little Indians," a sleazy feature directed with stupifying ineptness by Peter Collinson, proves otherwise. Wasting the talents of an international cast including EIke Sommer, Richard Attenborough, Charles Aznavour, and Oliver Reed the interminable film does as much damage to the image of mystery movies as Nixon did for AQUARIUS 4 FEATURES I IO-3 00 4 40 6 30-8 15-10 OO BURNET DR. Directed with modest and effective style by Tom Gries, and written with modest humor and vitality by Howard B.

Kreitsek, Marc Norman and Elliot Baker, the movie scores high in its equally modest ambition of unencumbered entertainment. For Bronson, it marks his best performance in quite some time. The others are also very good: Robert Duvall as the prisoner who must be freed; Jill Ireland as his forlorn wife; Randy Quaid, as the rogue Branson's put-upon sidekick; and Sheree North as the eye-catching, prison-break decoy. The picture marks the first in Columbia Pictures' new television saturation scheme, and whether or not it sells the movie, the artists at Columbia (wherever they are) should put it down as a success.
