Memorial Fund A memorial fund is being estab lished by the Lewis and Clark i Bureau for tne continued education of the minor children of Mr. Dallas. The fund, in recognition of his community accomplishments, is being established by his friends and neighbors. Recognized as the outstanding young farmer in Lewis and Clark County in 1955 by the Chamber of Commerce, he was a member of the Farm Bureau for 15 years, serving as an ejected official and as an appointed committee chairman. Mr.

Dallas was director of the Lewis and Clark County Soil Conservation organization for six years and a 4-H Club leader for five years. Contributions may he sent to Paul Paulsen, Union Bank. Raymond Johnson Funeral Rites Are Set Tuesday Funeral services will be con ducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday at Retz Chapel for Raymond C. John- 49, of Canyon Ferry, who died Saturday at St. Peter's Hos pital.

Pallbearers will be Thomas W. Meredith, Richard B. Crosby, Jo- T. Hamm, Lee Dickey, Alex Toeckes and Francis J. Dolan, The Rev.

John son attended schools here. He was a postmaster at Canyon Fer ry and was associated with the late Court Sheriff in the concession business during the construction of Canyon Ferry Dam. was the first president of the Mount Helena Ski Club and a charter member of the Ski Patrol. Survivors, in addition to his wife, the former Josephine Sheriff, whom lie married in 1MB, in clude two daughters, Judith and Lorain; his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Fred Johnson; a sister, Lila Rogers; a nephew, David Did-rickson, all of Helena, and numer ous Hunts, uncles and cousins, many of them of Helena. Came Here in 1886 Edward Evans, 87, Oldtime Area Resident, Is Dead Edward Henry Evans, 87, died late Salurday ut the Cooney Convalescent Home following a brief illness. He had resided at 111 Stewart Homes until early this month. Born Sept. 28, 1876, In Muchak-inoek, Iowa, he was the son of Richard and Margaret Evans.

Evans came to Montana in 1886 al the age of nine, living in the town of Stemple with his uncles, Evan and Dick Evans. He spent his early boyhood in various mining camps in and around the old town of Lincoln. Edward II. Evans Some of the old towns and camps in winch he lived and worked no longer exist, namely Stemple, Old Lincoln, Copper Camp, Jay Gould and McClellan Creek. Following in the footsteps of his uncles, Mr.

Evans worked as a miner most of his productive years, gaining the reputation or being one of the finest miners of his day. Among his many accomplishments as a miner was his prowess as a driller, estab lishing his fame by winning numerous contests al celebrations. Mr. Evans worked mostly in the vicinity of Marysville and Lincoln but put in some time in mines around Butte and in Wal lace, Idaho. Mary Alice Mock Funeral Rites Set in Kansas Mary Alice Mock, 53, who died Saturday at St.

Peter's will lie in state at the Retz Funeral Chapel until Tuesday afternoon. Funeral services wilt be con ducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Attica, her former home. She resided at 1400 Harrison at the time of her death, having moved Helena two years ago. She was the widow uf Ira Mock who died in 194B.

I Mrs. Mock, born March 4, 1911 in Kansas, attended schools there-She was a member of Uie VFW Auxiliary of Attica. Survivors include three daugh ters, Marjorie Hulse, Hazel Mock, both of Helena; Mary Wells of Wichita, a son, Robert Mock, Helena; three grandchildren, Kimberly Mock. Allen Hulse, both of Helena, and Brent Wells, Wichita; four sisters, Mrs. Mattie Landis, Kingman, Mrs.

Florence Kennedy, Attica, Mrs. Zelma Spitzmiller, Medicine Lodge, Mrs. Alsie Biber- ne, Attica; three brothers, Wal lace and Lawrence Hays of Anthony, and Irvin Hays of Wichita. Upon his retirement in November, 1943, he and his wife moved to Helena, His wife, Lettie Mead Teed, whom lie married Dec. II, 1905, in Butte, preceded him in death June 9, 1959. Andrew Last Rites Held Funeral services were conduct ed today at the Retz Funeral Chapel for Judy F. Andrew, 50, wife of Elton M. Andrew. 1104 Butte, who died Friday at St. Peter's Hospital.

Woodahl and R. A. Wilkinson. Emil Erving, 81, Dies in Michigan Ralph A. Erving, 424 North Davis, has returned from Sault Ste.

Marie, where he attended the funeral of his father, Emil Erving, 81, who died April 12. Mr. Erving was a well known resident of the Michigan community. Funeral services and bur ial were in Michigan. Mr.

Jack Seery Dies In Accident In San Diego Funeral services for Jack Seery of San Diego, formerly of Helena, will be conducted Thursday in San Diego, according to information received at Canyon Ferry by Bill Redd. Mr.

Seery was (he victim of a freak accident. He and his wife, former owners of the Dutch Maid Malt Shop here, were seated in a restaurant about a half block from his tile husiness in San Diego, when one of two cars in a collision on the street crashed through the window, killing him and injuring his wife and several other diners. Born July 12, 1880 in Mrs. Rinda was married here 'in 1902 to Theodore Rinda, who operated a garage on Park Ave-inue for many years until his death in 1950. Art Menghini of Seattle and Mrs. E. F.
