He has received accolades from several employees in many departments, commending him on his friendly attitude and technical ability. His determination to solve even the most complex problems, and his thorough follow-up process, illustrates Sammy's philosophy of educating users so that they can avoid future computer difficulties. Sammy's knowledge of many different systems is a direct result of his goal to understand and meet any technical challenge facing his department. Often he can be found sharing and discussing new, helpful information with his fellow technicians. Finding solutions may require switching from an operating system problem to an electro-mechanical issue within minutes.

Sammy accomplishes them all masterfully. Besides his technical prowess, Sammy's terrific can-do attitude, quick smile, and easy laugh brighten our days. Hardly a day goes by without hearing Sammy announce, in response to a call, "Well, that was interesting!" Congratulations, Sammy, on being selected the March 2003 Employee of the Month. 5) fellow employee Sammy enjoys spending his free time with his new wife Monica. Round Rock pounded out 11 hits and scored seven runs but drop'ped its second game in as many against Midland, 8-7. The Express scorched four extra-base hits as only one starter went hitless in a game much different from the season opener. "These are the games you want to win," Express Manager Jackie Moore said. "We did a good job coming off of -Thursday and our hitting came around we're going to be a team that swings the bat." Four Round Rock batters had multi-hit games and two drove in a pair of runs.

Shortstop Tommy Whiteman (2-5) reached base three times and knocked in two runs in five at-bats. Right fielder Mike Rosamond (1-4) broke an 0-for-5 streak with a single that drove in a pair. But for all of the the Express (0-2) couldn't overcome a deficit that grew too as many as five runs. Round Rock left-hander Greg Miller didn't last past the fourth inping, giving up four earned runs on five hits and a pair of walks. He was lifted for reliever Jory Coughenour, who allowed four hits and a pair of runs over 2 innings.

Trailing by five in the fourth, the Express hitters finally came to life. Eric Cole led off with a double down the Bynum Burke. DP: Midland Round Rock 1. LOB: Midland 7, Round Rock 4. 2B: Campo; Allegra; Morrissey; Lockwood; Cole; Tremie: Lentini.
