Julius Corpus Julius Corpus, age 59, of Austin, was called home by his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, September 27, 2001. Mr. Corpus was a lifelong resident of Austin. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Joe and Esther Corpus, and his brother, Jim Corpus. He is survived by his wife, Belinda Corpus; two sons, David Corpus and Julius Corpus, II; his daughter, Karen Bashara; his step-daughter, Lealonnie Laos; four grandchildren; his brother, Jesse Joe Corpus; six sisters, Ramona Heath, Mary E.

Torres, Rose Miranda, Julie Ledesma, Dora Corpus-Khokasian and Gloria Corpus; and many other family members. Pallbearers will include Robert W. Heath, Stanley A. Torres, Robert B. Ledesma, Robert C.

She was preceded in death her foster mother, Lucy Mendez; brothers, Edward Estrada and Roy Michael Estrada. Survivors include, her beloved children, Audry Camarillo and Alejandra Zapata, both of Austin; foster father, Fred Mendez; parents, Frank and Pamela Estrada; sisters, Janie Lopez and Sylvia Guevara; brothers, Frank Estrada, and John Paul Estrada, all of Austin. She is also survived by host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gabriel Bazan, son Gabriel Bazan, and her parents, Cayetano and Polinaria Vera. Survivors include, beloved children, Carmen B. Rodriguez, Angelina B. Bus-tos, both of Austin; sons, Juan Bazan of Houston, Jose Angel Bazan and Adam Bazan, both of Austin; sisters, Elena Miramontes, Janie Salazar and Ramona Reyes; and one brother, Dominga Ver-aall of Austin. She is also survived by six grandchildren.

Cole James D. Cole, age 83, of Austin passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2001. He was born in Jonah, Texas, on August 26, 1918, to parents, Walker Steve Cole and Margaret Sain Cole. In his 83 years of life, Mr. Cole did many things.

James married Glenna Patrick Cole in 1944. He was a retired member of the Army Air Corp where he was a 1st Lieutenant during the World War II and flew thirty-four missions over Germany. He was a business owner for both the Cole Manufacturing Company as well as Cole Products. He was an inventor in which he holds several patents. James was also a talented musician who played and sang on the radio.

Our father had a gentle and creative spirit. He never spoke ill of others. He deeply loved his wife of 57 years and was loyal to her without reservation. He always saw the glass as half full and this optimism guided his life. He suffered hurt in his life yet he always forgave.

Known for his brief visits, he never stayed in one spot for very long. Hampered by his immobility during his last year, he is now free to move across eternity, at will. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. His survivors include his wife of 57 years, Glenna Patrick Cole of Austin; daughter, Barbara Thomas and husband Bill of Austin; son, Gary Cole and wife Janet of Austin; two sisters, Bonnie Sams of San Antonio and Maxine Marcon of Granger; and four grandchildren. The family will receive guests for visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 30, 2001, at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home of Georgetown.

Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock in the morning, Monday, October 1, 2001, in the chapel of CookWalden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, with Dr. David Edwards, Pastor of the Main Street Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown. Our father will be remembered for the friends he made, the humor and stories he shared, and the music he played.

She was born on April 10, 1959, in Uvalde, Texas, to Barbara and Joe Am-merman.

Lauren graduated from Uvalde High School in 1977. She received a BS degree in elementary education in 1980 from Baylor University, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Lauren was a devoted wife and mother. She loved children and taught school in Odessa and Georgetown. More than anything else, Lauren's effervescent personality created a love affair between her and family and friends.

Her loving spirit is cherished by those who knew her. She leaves behind her husband, Frank Krenek; children, Shannon and Katelyn McKinney, Charlie and Jennifer Krenek; parents, Barbara and Joe Am-merman; brother, Clay Ammerman and wife Erin; and grandmothers, Glyn Olive Shannon and Lorene Ammerman. Throughout her illness Lauren gave a beautiful testimony of her love for the Lord. She lead others in Community Bible Study in Georgetown for many years. Her life exemplified her faith.

All who knew her have been touched by her faith and example. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, at First Baptist Church in Georgetown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lauren Krenek memorial fund for youth ministry at First Baptist Church or Community Bible Study children's fund at First State Bank of Texas in Georgetown. Preceded in death by wife, Sister Annie Lou Booker Williams, one sister, and three brothers. Gaston Kenna Worley Gaston Kenna Worley, 73, of Austin, passed away Thursday at the VA Hospital in Temple, Texas. He had served in the United States Navy and was an accountant. He is survived by his wife, Inez Worley, of Austin; daughter, Marilyn Worley of Sunnyvale, California; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Sara Worley, of Corpus Christi, Texas; three brothers, Howard Worley of Austin, Robert Worley of Austin, and Wendell Worley of Georgetown; two sisters, Margie Case of Freeportr, and Mary Hopkins of Austin; and one granddaughter, Alexis Worley.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Austin Memorial Austin-Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 East Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas Mrs. George "Lucille" Matkin Mrs. George "Lucille" Matkin (October 1898 October 2001), died Tuesday in her sleep at Carillon House in Lubbock, Texas. She attended Oklahoma State University and worked at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C.

during World War II. She was an active Pi Phi member for over eighty years and a contributing member of the groundbreaking committee for the Contemporary Arts Museum. After the death of her husband, George Matkin, she joined the Department of Fine Arts at St. John's Episcopal School (1959 -1965). A lifetime member of St.

Luke's Methodist, she was an active volunteer helping to establish the Art's After School Program, a member of the Junior League, Museum of Fine Arts and Art Director at Camp Monterey for Girls in Tennessee, and a member of First United Methodist in Lubbock, Texas, at the time of her death. Survived by the many nieces and nephews whose lives she touched, she will be laid to rest next to her husband on Monday, October 1, 2001. Ruppert USAF, RET. Arthur J. Ruppert US AF, age 73, of Georgetown, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2001. He was born in Middletown, New York, on June 10, 1928, to Conrad and Anna Ruppert, and was raised in Kenoza Lake, New York. Mr.

Ruppert retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force after proudly serving his country for twenty-three years as a B-52 pilot, as a forward air controller during the Vietnam Conflict, and later as a SAC Commander. After retiring in 1974, he taught electronics at Leander High School and Austin Community College. Arthur was an avid story teller and everyone loved his sense of humor. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Ruppert, and a brother, Robert Ruppert. His survivors include his wife, Ruth Ruppert of Georgetown; two daughters, Gina Bethune and husband Larry of Austin, and Anna Serratt of Kingwood, Texas; two granddaughters, Kara Bishop of Austin, and Maddie Serratt of King-wood, Texas; one grandson, Dylan Serratt of Kingwood, Texas; two brothers, Conrad Ruppert of Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts, and Warren Ruppert of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one stepson, Greg Fout and wife Toni; and four step-grandchildren, Mollie and Matt Fout, and Andrew and Zachary Bethune.

Jack Coursey was known by many and loved by all. He was a great role model through his absolute love and devotion to his wife, of 48 years, Marie Coursey, and his entire extended family. He is survived by his wonderfully dedicated wife, Marie Coursey. He is also survived by his daughters, Lou Ann Montey, and Darline Butler and son-in-law, Ernest Butler; his grandchildren, Cline York, Jr. and his wife Pat York, Carrie York, Kimberly Clakley, and her husband Jack Clakley, Pamela Neal, Chad Montey, and his wife Jennifer Montey; his great-grandchildren, Cline York, III, Krista Clakley, Joshua York, Kyle Neal, Travis York, Mikala Villar-real, and yet to be born, Hunter Jackson Montey.

The great and wonderful memories with this man are many. He believed completely that faith and laughter could get you through anything. This attitude did not change throughout his life and his death. He was very active in Crestview Baptist Church as a deacon, Sunday School Teacher and dedicated member. He and his wife were active members of Crest-view Baptist Church for many years.

He was also a very active member in the Hill City Masonic Lodge 456 since transferring from the Round Rock Masonic Lodge. He was inducted into the Round Rock Masonic Lodge in 1947 and was the Worshipfull Master of the lodge from 1970-1971. Jack Coursey was born January 27, 1925, in Llano, Texas. His father, James O. Coursey, his mother, Goldie Coursey, and his sister, Wanda L.

Earney, preceded him in death. The family will receive all of his many friends at Austin-Peel and Son on Sunday, September 30, 2001, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A service to celebrate 76 wonderful years will be held Monday, October 1, 2001, at Austin-Peel and Son, 607 E. Anderson Lane.

Arthur Ola Goodin (Bee-Bae) Arthur Ola Goodin (Bee-Bae), age 45, died Wednesday, September 26, 2001. He was born to LT and Minnie Goodin Sr. He is survived by his wife of fifteen years.

Arthur has three daughters, Kat-rina Goodin, Laquisha Goodin, and Chasity Goodin, all of Ft. Pierce, Florida. He has three step-children, Merita Williams, Thomas Loving and Cornell Loving, all reside in Austin, Texas; five grandchildren and five step-grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Minnie Goodin; and sisters, Barbra Goodin-Clark and Linell Goodin-Fowler, both of Austin, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends. Wilfrene Felicia Ranchitham Ernest Mrs. Wilfrene Felicia Ranchitham Ernest of Austin, Texas, USA, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, in her sleep in the early hours of the morning of September 26, 2001. She was born on October 12, 1933, in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, to the late John Chrysostom Segarajasinghe and the late Mary Magdalene Chellamany Segarajasinghe. Mrs.

Ernest is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Mr. Hyacinth Macaulay Ernest. Her children, Harish-ini Ernest, Joseph Ernest, Andrew Ernest, Rashmini Ernest-Cohen and Jo-haan Ernest, along with their spouses Patricia, Jodi, Peter, and Subodhini, will deeply miss her love and support. Felicia was a loving and guiding presence in the lives of her five grandchildren, Anthony Sujan, Jonathan Jeevan, Joseph Macaulay, Rachel Joyanthi and Michelle Jayshree. Grandma who was always there for them will now forever be with them in their hearts and fondest memories.

Mrs. Ernest also leaves behind her siblings, Jeiam Segarajasinghe (Jaffna, Sri Lanka), Bonnard Segarajasinghe (Manchester, England), Geetham Joseph (Nugegoda, Sri Lanka), Mathuram Thambinayagam (Toronto, Canada), Bavam Xavier (Watford, England), Dr. Christus Segarajasinghe (London, England), Francista Jeganathan (Toronto, Canada) and the families of each of them. Felicia has gone home to join her infant daughter, Chrisanta; her father; mother; and two brothers, the late Jee-vam Segarajasinghe (Toronto, Canada) and the late Ariam Segarajasinghe (Jaffna, Sri Lanka). Chris V. Connell Chris Connell, born into this world on June 11, 1935, passed away on September 21, 2001, the last day of a Texas Summer. His parents were C.J. and Vir-gie Connell. Chris was born in Nara Visa, New Mexico, and attended schools there until the family moved to Alpena, Arkansas.

He received his Associates Degree in Civil Engineering from Arkansas Tech in 1955. He later enlisted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany where he would meet Christa and marry in 1960. They moved bach to the United States where he would begin his journey into Land Surveying, obtaining Professional Registrations in many states. Chris and Christa decided that Austin, Texas would become their home in 1985.

Chris was fond of many things, he loved to read, write, and draw. He would also try new things, from Aikido to Yoga, from Tai Chi, to Public Speaking. But above all, he was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend to many. Chris was not one to brag about himself but would rather help, comfort, or rescue those in need. He is survived by his wife, Christa; sons, and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Stephanie Connell and Daniel and Belinda Connell; daughter and son-in-law, Gabriella and Stephen; three sisters, Delores Hughes, Lorene McGee, and Virginia Cornet; one brother.

Donald Connell; and five grandchildren, Christopher, Rebecca, Kevin, Amanda, and Taylor. He will be missed by many but his Strength, Courage, and Conviction will be a part of us forever and ever. Joines passed away peacefully at home with his family nearby, on September 27, 2001. He was born November 19, 1929, and grew up in East Texas where he began a lifelong career with the J.C.

Penney Company. From the stock room he worked his way up to manager of the most profitable store in the nation. His career with J.C. Penney lasted 42 years. He enjoyed people and could strike up a conversation with anyone.

His heart was good and he lived by the golden rule. L.E. was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Kathryn of 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn, Karen and Richard Berns, Richard Joines, Richard Yoder and favorite grandson, Jake. October 23, 1943. Irene is survived by Roy H. Morris III and wife, Marilyn; John R. Morris; Paul R. Morris and wife, Joyce; and James G.

Morris and wife, Diana. She was blessed with eight grandchildren. In 2001, she became a great-grandmother. Funeral services Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Elgin Funeral Home in Elgin.
