Chadwick HS Gives Awards To Athletes CHADWICK Chadwick High School students who earned athletic awards during the school year received them Tuesday afternoon from Coach Roy Colbert during a brief ceremony at the school. They went to the boys participating in basketball, baseball and track. Basketball managers and the scorekeeper and statistician also were included. Paul Clevidence, Chadwick. Find Oregon Area Farmer Dead In Field Arnold, Oregon area farmer, was found dead Thursday evening in a field on his farm. He was lying near his overturned tractor. The body was discovered by a hired hand, Victor Hamilton. One member of the family said ty Coroner Morris Roe of Forreston.

Arnold was born March 14, 1897, at Leland, 111., the son of Henry and Clara Von Ohlen Arnold. He married Ruth Windert Jan. 1, 1924, at Franklin Grove. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John Point in Ohio and Mrs.

Kenneth (Noreen) Witzel of Ashton; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Campfield of Dixon and Mrs. Harold Carman of Oregon; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Farrell Funeral Home and at 2 p.m.

Local Man Enlists In Navy For 4 Years Louis 0. Meyers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Meyers, 16 W. Douglas has enlisted in the Navy.

C. P. 0. Robert Ferguson, local recruiter, announced today. Meyers is attending recruit training at Great Lakes Naval Training Center.
