Roberto Ramirez Ramos Roberto Ramirez Ramos, 79, of Austin, Texas, died at his home Monday, June 21, 1999 after a lengthy battle against Parkinson's disease. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Victoria Gomez Ramos; his aunt, Aurelia Garcia of Beeville, Texas; and sisters, Juanita Soto, of California and Frances and Ninfa Ramos and Dubelsa and Mary Martin, all of Bloomington, Texas, also survive. He was the first of eleven children born to Silvestre and Agapita Ramirez Ramos on December 16, 1919, in Skidmore, Texas. For 25 years, Roberto and Victoria farmed land that had once belonged to his maternal grandmother, Juanita Ramirez in Beeville. In 1963, he moved his family to Austin at the urging and with the help of his eldest son, Lupe, who had earlier made his way to Austin and had recently graduated from the University of Texas.

Mr. Ramos was retired from the le University of Texas after 20 years' employment. Roberto was preceded in death by his sisters, Thomasita Esquivel, Erminia Rodriguez, Felicita Vargas, and Lydia Morales and by his only brother, Jose Ramos, who died 33 earlier. Mr. Ramos and his wife have 74 descendants.

Their eleven children and their spouses are Guadalupe and Irene Ramos, Olga and Nash Gonzales, Alicia and Alex Mata, Yolanda Ramos and Roberta and Robert Morales of Austin, Cecilia and Roger Moisant of Ontario, California, Irene and Eulogio Sifuentez, Mario and Amy Ramos, Alvaro and Monika Ramos, and Robert and Melissa Ramos, of Pflugerville, and Victoria and Fernando Martinez, of Del Valle. In addition there are 36 grandchildren and 27 great -grandchildren. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 23, 1999 in the Memorial Chapel at Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North IH 35. A rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.

Thursday, June 24, 1999, with Reverend Tom Frank as celebrant at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church at 1520 North Railroad Avenue in Pflugerville. Interment will follow at Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Eric Ramos, Nash Gonzales, Alex Mata, Derek Moisant, George Diaz, Gregory Sifuentez, Mario Ramos, Avi Ramos, Adrian Martinez and Robert Ramos. This hard working, humble and gentle man will be missed forever by his loving family.

David Arlen Nelson "To be absent from the body is to be present with the II Cor. 5:8 David. Arlen Nelson was born September 25, 1930, in Devers, Texas, to Flora and Joseph Nelson. He passed away June 21, 1999, at home in Austin, Texas. One of two children, David attended high school in Devers, and then college at Texas He met and married his sweetheart, Mary Ellen on December 27, 1952, and they had three children together.

After joining the U.S. Air Force in 1952, he ultimately rose to the rank of Colonel. He served his country in both Korea and Vietnam, flying hundreds of missions as a recon pilot. David was a devoted Christian, loving father and husband, an avid hunter, rare coin collector, and world traveller. He loved animals, getting together with friends, and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; sons, Marc David and Anthony Arlen; daughter, Cynthia Ann; sister, Marjorie Warner; five cherished grandkids; and numerous extended family members. We all love you, Dave, and hope for the day that we'll meet again. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 1999, at the Church Tidings, and will be followed by Full Military Honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:15 a.m. CookWalden.

6100 North Lamar Bill Bryan Feille Bill Feille was born on December 30, 1919, in San Antonio, Texas where he lived until moving to Austin in 1970. He died Tuesday, June 22, 1999. Bill was a veteran of World War II and was wounded during the Georgia Campaign. He later attended the University of Texas. In San Antonio, he was an appraiser for 13 years at the Federal Housing Administration, he also worked as an announcer for both radio (KNOW, KONO) and television (KENS) and was manager of the radio station at Brooks Army Medical Center.

In Austin, he served as Vice President of Capital Mortgage Bankers until he opened his own business as a real estate Bill was an avid hunter, a member of the National Rifle Association, and a member of the Capital Trap and Skeet Club. He was also a member of Woodlawn Christian and Western Hills Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marian Holley Feille, of Austin; three sons, William B. Feille and his wife, Peggy, of Houston, Dr. Bryan Feille and his wife, Reverend Laurie Feille, of Fort Worth, Randy Feille, of Austin; two daughters, Glenda Vander Laan and her husband, Greg, of Austin, Kim Nielsen and her husband, Mitch, of Austin; and nine grandchildren, Bill Feille, of Houston, Robert Feille and his wife, Andi, of Grapevine, Scott Feille and Julie Feille, of Fort Worth, Chris Vander Laan, Ryan Vander Laan, and Mary Vander Laan, of Austin, and Morgan Nielsen and Trent Nielsen, of Austin.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and Bobby Hitt, of Austin. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Galindo, Steve Halliday, Charlie Jones, Claude Kuempel, Rector Lester, Ron Rosenfeld, and Don York. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. She married Herman William Hoffman on January 16, 1928, in Port Lavaca, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman William Hoffman and daughter, Jeanette Elizabeth. 512-398-4791. In Memory of Debra Campbell Joseph I. Sonnenreich, Col. USAF (Ret.) Joe Sonnenreich, formerly of New York City, now of Leander, Texas and West Shokan, New York, died of complications following a stroke in Austin on Friday, June 4, 1999, at the age of 82. He held BS and MS degrees from New York University, and was one of the first religious school teachers certified by the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.

Long associated with Temple Israel of the City of New York, he and his wife, Rena became members of Congregation Beth Israel in Austin. He served as a pilot in World War II, flying with the B-24 "Our Baby" crew, which he considered his "second family," in the 453rd Bomb Group, 2nd Air Division of the 8th Air Force. He elected to stay in the Air Force Reserve, without remuneration "because it was his civic duty." Eventually promoted to Colonel, he completed his service as Commander of the 9212th Air Reserve Squadron in New York City. He headed his own advertising agency, and was a Past President of the League of Advertising Agencies in New York City. A member of the New York Fencers Club, he served on its Board of Governors.

Most important to him, however, was serving civic organizations dedicated to helping others, and he gave generously of his time a past president and trustee of New York Lodge No. 1, B'nai B'rith; a member of ADL's National Commission; past chariman of the ADL New York Regional Board; past chairman of the Board of the Metropolitan Coordinating Council on Jewish Poverty; a member of the Management Assistance Program of UJA-Federation of New York; and a Past President of the New York Society for the Deaf. Somehow, between his business, athletic and civic activities, he found time to marry Rena and spent 45 wonderful years with her. Beloved son of Minnie and William (both deceased). Beloved brother of Manny (deceased) and his wife Fay.

Padwe, 88, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, died June 17, 1999, at his home. He was born September 15, 1910, in New York City, son of Samuel Padwe and Julia Kupferberg Padwe. Martin was a long time resident of Austin where he worked as a chemist and research librarian. He was a graduate of New York City University with a degree in Chemistry. He worked for the Academy of Medicine in New York.

During World War II he served as an army medic in the Pacific Front. After the war he worked for Jefferson Chemical Company and in 1950, he was transferred to the Jefferson facility at Austin where he worked until he retired in 1975. He especially enjoyed reading, travel adventures with his wife, and investing in the stock market. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Banks and her husband, Thomas G. Banks; his granddaughter, April E.

Banks and her husband, Quincey Burkhalter; and a great -granddaughter, Katherine Burkhalter. Other family members include his niece, Rhoda Dobson, and nephews, Sanford Padwe and Stephen Padwe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Gergely. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 1999, in Zilker Park at the Austin Area Garden Center, Austin, Texas.

Georgetown, TX Davis Funeral Home Caroline "Karo" Gracely In Loving Memory of Caroline "Karo" Gracely, 18, was suddenly taken from her loving family and friends on Sunday, June 20, 1999. Karo was born in San Antonio on December 16, 1980. She lived San Antonio until 1989 when she and her family moved to Austin. Karo lived in Austin for eight years and attended Westlake High School where she was a Hyline Drill Team member. She moved to Katy in 1997 where she spent two wonderful years at Taylor High School.

Caroline was a Pacesetter at Taylor High. She also had a love for photography and exhibited an awesome creative talent. Karo graduated from Taylor on May 28, 1999 and was preparing for college at Texas Tech. She caring and loving young lady who touched the lives of so many. She is survived by her parents, Frank and Rhonda Gracely; best friend and older sister, Tiffany Marie Gracely; grandparents, Dreabon and May Copeland of Houston, Frank and Virginia Gracely of San Antonio; aunts and uncles, Ray and Pam McGill, Art and Becky Grider, Jeff and Suzanne Copeland, Sherry and Andy Barbisch, Tony and Mary Gracely, and Cindy Gracely all of Houston; and numerous cousins from San Antonio and Houston as well as other loving relatives.

He was a farmer and rancher in the Gatesville area and he loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Gateway Baptist Church and a member of the Gatesville Masonic Lodge.

He was a loving husband and father. Shortly after their arrival, her family swam ahead to reach the other side. After several minutes, they noticed that she was missing and began searching for her, but found no trace of Debra. It was as though she had vanished. Search teams found her body about an hour and half-later, 20 feet below Hamilton Pool waters and there were no traces of a struggle.

Speculations were made that she fainted and just went under without anyone noticing. Debra was born in Austin, Texas on December 16, 1963. She did not have an easy childhood and faced many obstacles growing up, but you would never know it. She brightened the lives of everyone around her with her beautiful smile and bubbly personality. She never had a negative word to say about anyone.

As a matter of fact, she always encouraged family and friends and could lift a person's spirits through her words of inspiration. Debra was special and had a unique relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. She truly had a gift of reaching out to others and touched so many lives. As a mother, she instilled in her son, Joshua, age nine, the importance of trusting in God and she made sure he was in church each week. In her final hour, her little boy even made the comment that" everything happens for a Debra had recently been making plans to find a new home.

She lived in Kyle, Texas and was looking for a place in Austin to settle down with her child. She had even considered moving to Tennessee to be near friends and family. Today she can rest, for her search for home has ended and she has a new home with the God she had lived for so faithfully. Debra is survived by her nine year old son Joshua Campbell; Joshua's father, Bryan Campbell and wife, Paula; brother, David Screws, along with wife, Valerie; mother, Peggy Slayton; sister, Fredna Slayton; brothers, George Slayton and Donnie McNeece; and numerous nieces and nephews. Special friends were Lars Helman, Lisa L.

Green, Brett Scully, James Campbell, Alta Flemming, Vicky Burke, Terry Ramsey and so many others. She was also an admired co-worker for PPD Pharmaco, Scirex, Dr. Clark's Office in Buda, and most recent employer, Health Quest. Green James (Seamus) Treanor April 25, 1929 June 20, 1999 James (Seamus) Treanor, a long-time resident of Central Texas, passed away on June 20, 1999, after a lengthy illness. He was born in County Monaghan, Ireland, and was a graduate of St.

Patrick's College in County Carlow. He came to the United States in 1955 and received a Master's degree in Philosophy and completed Doctoral studies in Philosophy at the Clairmont Graduate School in Pomona, California. He also had a certificate of completion from the Institute on Judaism conducted at Vanderbilt University in 1972. He was a founding faculty member of the Department of Philosophy at SWTSU and was a well-known scholar of philosophy. He taught at SWTSU for 27 years before his retirement in 1994.

He was an active member of the Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by parents, James Francis and Ellen McKenna Treanor; and an elder brother, Francie. Survivors include his widow, Betty McKee Treanor, of Austin; and three sisters and two brothers, in Ireland, Mary Ryan of County Cork, Madge McCaffrey, of County Tyrone, Eileen Treanor, of Dublin and Peather and Sean Treanor, of County Monaghan.
