O'Brien, 59, of Independence, died Monday, Nov. 16, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, following a sudden illness. He was born Sept. 9, 1920, in Monti-cello, son of Arend Jr.

and Hermine Mar-garetta Hedden Balster. He married Jean McNeilly on Nov. 29, 1941. She preceded him in death Sept. 20, 1988.

He married Wilma Yount Prieratt on April 6, 1991. He graduated from Monticello Community Schools in 1939 and attended Iowa She was born Dec. 1, 1949, in Independence, daughter of Harvey Edward and Bonnie Max-ine Hanna O'Brien. On Sept. 4, 1973, she married Richard Clay Bowles in Las Vegas.

They later divorced. She graduated from high school in Independence in 1968 and attended junior college in Minneapolis. She was an office worker in the banking business and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Independence. CEDAR FALLS Virgil L. Dralle, 86, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Nov.

Canada, son of William and Laura Andrews Schell. He married HarmenaKadous KhftVnj on Dec. 27. 1046. in ParkershuiU.

She died She was born Sept. 5, 1927, in Delaware County, daughter of Volner E. and Minnie M. Harbaugh Nading. She married Joseph C.

Boesen on June 18, 1949, in Waterloo. He died July 29, 1996. She was employed as a secretary for the Waterloo School District for 23 years, retiring Aug. 1,1989. Survived by: three sons, Michael (Lisa) of East Moline, 111., and, Rick and Kris (Kelly), both of Waterloo; six grandchil 1 April 22, 2007.

Dutcher on Feb. 24, 1952. in I -vl Lehigh. He receivednis B.A. from the University of iis teaching degree from the University of Iowa and his master's in school administration from Drake.

He also attended Iowa State University. In 1953 he became principal of Ogden Si John Baker lion in equity from 43 supporters' homes and pledges from six rabbis to offer their Torah scrolls as collateral for Rubashkin's release. Rabbi Sholom Hecht, a religious leader in Brooklyn, said Rubashkin, a trained rabbi and teacher, has gained so much notoriety there is not a single Jewish community in the world where he could hide in anonymity. Prosecutors said a credit card in Rubashkin's name showed charges for plane tickets two former Agripro-cessors supervisors used to flee the country after a May 2008 immigration raid in which federal agents arrested 389 workers.

Rubashkin said the credit card was on file in an open account at a travel agency in New York. Rubashkin's attorneys pre -sented more than 1,300 letters and e-mails of support. Ernest Doeden (1929 2009) CEDAR FALLS Ernest Doeden, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Nov.
