D. 1816, Luther Weld, of Guilford, in the County of Windham, was summoned to answer to the declaration of Asa Rice, of Guilford aforesaid, against one Isaac Stearns, late of said Guilford, an absconding or concealed debtor, in a plea of the case, on a promisory note, At which said term the said Luther Weld, Trustee as aforesaid, appeared in Court, and made disclosure of the goods, chattels, of the said Stearns, the principal debtor, in his posses-session And the said Stearns not having had notice of said suit, the same was by order of Court, continued until this present tetm And now the said Stearns not appearing; It is ordered by the Couri, that the said action be furs her continued until June term next; and that the said Stearns be notified of the pendency of the same, by publishing the substance thereof, and order of Court thereon, three weeks successively in some public newspaper now printed, or which may then be printed in the county of Windham, the last of which publication to be at least three weeks before the next session of said Court, to be holden at New-Fane, in the county aforesaid, on the second Monday of June, A.
