The insertion of Mr. Bower's name into Cnm-mings' infamous bill is a great injury to that gentleman; for, although we ourselves do not imagine Mr. Bower capable of giving his consent to such a measure, it nevertheless creates a suspicion in the minds of many people that he -may really have had a hand in the matter. If a man should thus mako use of our name we should feel like holding him amenable to the law for trespass or slandor, or for both. No one has a right to use another's name in this way.

It is very easy to make assertions but those in relation to tne Wheeler Wilson Machines are sworn to as the following will testify: Jcthn Sini.E v. deposed "I must declare the Wheeler Wilson to be the most wonderful and comprehensive sewing mechanism ever put out into the American market. It is the simplest, as well as tho most cunning- in principle. There is genius and high mechanical abilitv in its arrange ment, and, therefore, it is most reliable and easy to keep order. A here is a directness ot connection between the power and the result, never found by me in the devices of any other inventor, and the mechanical results follow of tho highest possible speed, quiet and easy movement, which make it a delight to mechanicians.

I think it just to denominate it one of tho marvels of the age."
