There will be an exhibit of black letter law books by the Caxton club, an exhibit of small bronzes, another of handicrafts, a fourth of Serbian paintings, and a fifth of winter bouquets. In the exhibition of applied arts, which, by the way, is the seventh annual exhibition of this kind to be held at the institute, there are more prizes offered than have ever been offered before. Mrs. Hubbard Carpenter is offering a prize of $100, which will be awarded for jewelry of original design the emphasis laid on the originality.

Mrs. Avery Coonley, who is interested in all that goes to promote beauty in commonplace things about the house, is offering two prizes of $50 each for woven household articles of I utility. The third new award is the 1 Thomas J. Dee prize of $50 for the best work executed in gold, and the same amount for the best work in silver.
