Rena Michaels Atchison, .77: years old, who was dean of women and professor of French literature at Northwestern universitY forty years ago, will be held at the Bentley funeral chapel at 2701 North Clark street tonight at 8 o'clock. Interment will be private. Mrs. Atchison is survived by her husband, the Rev Wilbur Fisk Atchison, retired, who was the first pastor of Hyde Park Methodist Episcopal church. They resided at 612 Wright-wood avenue.

Mrs. Atchison died at her home Sunday Mrs. Atchison was graduated from Albion, college, and was preceptress and teacher of romance languages at the Upper Iowa university, Fayette, and professor of Spanish and French at De Pauw university, Greencastle, before coming to Northwestern university in 1883. She taught at Northwestern for ten years, resigning in 1893 to marry the Rev. Mr.

She had been ill for about three months. Mrs. Garibaldi was 63 years old. She had been interested In women's club work, particularly among Chicago Italian-Americans, for many years. She is survived by three sons, Thomas Francis and David, and two daughters, Countess Bolognesi and Mrs.
