Oliver C. Farrington. old frame house her 11 children were born there was one of the few that survived the Chicago fire. Mrs. Rapp was the oldest resident in the neighborhood.

Her husband, who was a coppersmith, died forty years ago. Mrs. Rapp was survived by three daughters, Mrs. Caroline Bohnoff. Mrs.

Mamie Susanke, and Mrs. Catherine Wedding, and five sons, Alfred, Charles, Fred, Oscar, and Henry Rapp. She was survived also by 15 grandchildren and ten Nov. 2. 1933.

.1 til VI 1' I -X months after its founding. Dr. B'ar-rington was the dean of the institution for many years. After taking degrees at Maine Stnte college and Vale university he was a member of the faculty at Yale. For a time he was with the United States National museum, before coming to Chicago.

During his first ten years as head of the department of geology at the Field museum Dr. Farrington served as a lecturer at the University of Chicago. He led several expeditions for the Field museum, the most notable being the Marshall Field geological expedition in 192-' and 1323. On this trip he spent seven months in the interior 1 Urazil. traveling 800 miles by mule train.

Dr. Farrington discovered that vast Melds, rich in diamonds, topazes, and emeralds, were not being worked, and brought hack with him rare black diamonds atid the skeleton of a prehistoric giant sloth. Headed American Association. Among the honors conferred upon Dr. Farrington were the presidency of the American Association of Museums and fellowships in the Geological Society of America and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

He was a member of Phi I'eta Kappa and Sigma Xi fraternities. Dr. Farrington is survived by his widow, Mrs. Clara Drad'ey Farrington. A brother, Wallace Kider former governor of Hawaii end publisher of a Honolulu newspaper, died recently.

Lake Forest. Death was due to pneumonia, which attacked him Saturday. He was 76 years old. Mr. Bradley was a retired farmer.

His family had owned a farm near Liberty ville for many years. He had served as a member of the Lake county Democratic county central committee. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ellen Bradley; a son, John J. Bradley, and two daughters, Mrs.

George J. Fitzgerald and Mrs. R. F. Wells.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow in St Mary's church, lake Forest. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. Walter C. Foster, Retired Tailor, Dies in California Word was received in Chicago yesterday of the death Chico.
