Club Activities Are Highlights in Social World Tlans Are Being Devel-: oped for a Number of By MABEL FRENCH Society Editor Club news seems to be heading social activities these days.

Members of various organizations are gathering for first fall meetings, discussing new projects and outlining their work for the fall and winter seasons, for during the early autumn season many resident turn to matters intellectual and charitable and plans are being formulated for' numerous events. You. have all heard of the good slogan ''No news is good news" but that doesn't seem to apply to a column for a paper, especially a social column. Well, if people aren't doing very much socially we can only- blame it on the grand fall weather with everyone trying to absorb a little of the warm sunshine to carry on through the long winter months. However this week promises to be filled with numerous informal affairs honoring out-of-town guests, and although it may be the pickling and canning season and it may also be the time to do the fall house-cleaning, when visitors come to "Butte the responsibilities of a household drop like the autumn leaves and everything is done for pleasure of these transients, ior that's Butte hospitality.
