The City Clerk will receive sealed bids of proposals in her office In tha City Hail at any time prior to tha hour of 10:30 o'clock a.m., on Thursday, October 28, 1945, for the following: For Installation of Civil Defense Attack Warning Siren. Specifications and blank forms of proposals will be furnished by the City Clerk's Office, Room 306, City Hall, on application. Price bid shall Include all applicable taxes.

The City is exempt from Federal Excise tax. All proposal shall be made In conformity with Section 126 of the Oakland Charter, and shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or surety bond for an amount not less than 10 per cent of tha aggregate of the proposal, which shall be forfeited to the City If the -tuccesstui- Bidder- taor- -retuses- enter into the contract awarded him.
