Grad Dies In Berkeley BERKELEY Fanny Earl Martinez, resident here for 60 years and member of the University of California class of 1900, died in a local hospital yesterday. Her late husband, Woodrow Jose long-time East-bay real estate salesman and broker, was grandson of Don Jose Martinez, who donated the land for the city of Martinez. Family roots trace back to Don Ignacib Martinez, who arrived at the San Francisco Presidio with the Spanish Royal Army in 1799, later to serve as commandant. Mrs. Martinez was born in Des Moines, Iowa, but lived most of her life at 2814 College Ave.

She is survived by a son and two daughters, Tyrell Martinez, (Miss Carmel Martinez, and Mrs. Barbara Hickman, and a grandson, David Hickman, all of Berkeley.
