KERWIN ROONEY Port Attorney 66 Jack London Square Oakland, California 94607 Rites Monday For GIs' Pal Ma Eggleston -Memorial services will be held Monday for a Berkeley woman who befriended thousands of servicemen passing through Oakland during the war.

Mrs. Emily Proctor Eggleston, 76, of 2710 Belrose died yesterday. During World War II, she was known as "Ma" Eggleston to the soidiers passing through Camp Knight in Oakland going to and from the Pacific. Mrs. Eggleston staged plays, did canteen work and performed many other volunteer services for the troops.

After the war, she gave much of her time to aiding injured Naval personnel and helping to run a volunteer program for the Alta Bates Community Hospital in Berkeley. Mrs. Eggleston was the widow of George Harry Eggleston. She was the of Mrs. W.

R. Dunsmore of Los Angeles and Mortimer R. Proctor, former governor of Vermont. Her grandfather, father, brother and uncle were all governors of Vermont. She was also an active member of the Claremont Country Club.

Memorial services will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the First Congregational Church, 2345 Channing Way, Berkeley, with the Albert Brown Mortuary in charge. Interment will be in Proctor, Vt. Warren Wright RICHMOND Funeral services were held today for Warren Wyntep (Tep) Wright, former Pacific Coast news division manager for the National Enterprise Assn. Wright, 61, whose by line "Tep Wright" was known nationally, resigned in 1946 to enter the photography business.

For the past four years he had been chief photographer for Dee's Studio here. He collapsed and died suddenly Thursday while undergoing routine medical tests. A native of Illinois, Wright attended Purdue University and started his career on the Commercial News in Danville, Ill. rose from cub reporter to manager editor of paper, finally resigning to become a photographer for the Eastman Kodak Co. in Rochester, N.Y.

In 1943 he accepted the NEA post and spent the next three years covering news and pictures on the West Coast and in Hawaii. He lived here at 2353 Esmond Ave. Surviving are his wife, Beatrice; a daughter, Mrs. Patty Paquette of Santa Clara; a son, Rawley Wright of Michigan; two sisters, Mrs. Fern Fowler of Wisconsin and Mrs.

Eva Gannon of Illinois and eight grandchildren. Wilson and Kratzer Mortuary handled arrangements. Mrs. Bernice Frost WILLOWS Private funeral services will be held for Mrs. Bernice Heywood Frost, daughter of the late Charles E.

Heywood, one-time mayor of Berkeley. She was 50. Mrs. Frost was a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, class of 1934. She died yesterday in a Palo Alto hospital, leaving her husband, Charles; two daughters, Janet and Barbara Frost, and a brother, E.

C. Darnall, of Berkeley.
