Heller member of the Wethonkitha Club secretary-clerk for the Ladish Company, Cudahy, and after retirement she moved along with her husband to the Beaver Dam area where they had resided ever since.

Survivors include nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; five brothers, Eugene, Robert, Frank, Alvin and Jerome Bindas; and two sisters, Angeline and Virginia Polasek. Friends may call on Saturday, Jan. 24, from 1:30 p.m. to the time of service at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.

Memorials may be made to the Beaver Dam Humane Society. Pediatrician Richard Strauss said the baby must have been violently shaken in order to cause the degree of retinal injury, according to the complaint. Myers was released from custody on a $10,000 signature bond and ordered to return Feb. 3 for a preliminary hearing. If convicted on the felony charge, he would face up to 40 years in prison.

The complaint said that, when he Myers was interviewed by investigators, he denied shaking his son violently enough to cause the brain injuries, but said he may have shaken the boy a little to dislodge whatever was causing the boy to cough. TOWN OF WESTFORD Rose M. Polaski, 75, of N7328 Beaver Bay Drive, town of Westford, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998 at her home. A memorial service will be Saturday, Jan.

24, at 2 p.m. at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. John Burgbacher will officiate. Burial will be in Wood National Cemetery, Milwaukee.

Mrs. Polaski was born May 14, 1922 in Cudahy, daughter of Frank and Mary (Burdecki) Bindas. She was married to Carl Polaski on Aug. 18, 1975 in Waukegan, 111. She had been a Cudahy, resident for most of her life, graduating from high school there in 1940.

She worked for many years as a LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) A 26-year-old Holmen man faces a charge of first-degree reckless homicide in the death of his infant son. Donald J. Myers was charged Thursday in La Crosse County Circuit Court in the shaking death of his 3-month-old son, Harley. The criminal complaint said the child suffered extensive bleeding on both retinas, was unresponsive and did not try to breathe when he was taken to Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center Oct.

1. The child was kept on life support for two days, but was pronounced dead Oct. 3, the complaint said. WATERTOWN Pearl S. Heller, 76, of 1504 River Drive, Watertown, died Thursday, Jan.

She was married to Frederick Heller on Feb. 14, 1944 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Watertown. She was a member St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Watertown, the Ladies Aid Society and St.

Mark's OWLS. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1939, worked at Lewis Systems formerly G.B. Lewis for 37 years and volunteered at the Bethesda Thrift Shop, Marquardt Memorial Manor and Meals on Wheels. She was also a Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include one daughter, Diane (David) Mallow of Oconomowoc, two grandchildren; eight brothers, Charles (Delores), William (Jane), Harvey (Alayne), Herbert (Betty), Richard (Darlene) all of Watertown, Lawrence (Jo) of Hartland, Victor (Susie) of Beaver Dam, Howard of Johnson Creek, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frederick, on Nov. 10, 1988; and one sister, Barbara. Friends may call on Monday, Jan. 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home, Watertown, and on Tuesday, Jan; 27, from 9 a.m.

The funeral will be Monday, Jan. 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Roy McKain will officiate.

Family graveside services will be Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the Burke Lutheran Church Cemetery, Madison, Wis. Geah was born Nov. 28, 1998 in Beaver Dam, daughter of Glenn "Joe" and Sarah (Elder) Marshall. In Geah's short life here on earth she touched the hearts of many people.
