Bulldog Cagers Advance In 2AA Tournament By ABE J. PEItlLMAN Sun-News Sports Editor The Las Cruces Bulldogs play- jbg one ol their best games of Ithe season, hurdled one obstacle on the road to a berth in the state tourney by defeating HosweU Coyotes 77 G8 in the i first round game of the District 2AA tournament here Thursday night, The Artesia Bulldogs also got their first round foe, defeating the Alamogordo Tigers 67-60. Tonight's Action I In tonight's action the Crucens face Clovis at 6:30 p.m. and the Artesians meet Goddard in the second game starting at 8 p.m. jBoth of tonight's winners join jtop seeded Hobbs and Carlsbad the District representatives In the state meet.

Semi-final action starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and the battle for first and third places begins at p.m. Roswell, who had defeated the Crucens twice in regidar season I play, was no match for the local jcagers in the tournament er.
