Home fire is blamed on energy crisis energy crisis has been held responsible for at least two home fires this winter- in the Cedarville area by Clark Township Fire Chief Lyle Hudson. One of the homes was spared from destruction when the owner slammes the door to the outside shut when escaping from the blaze. Huson said that a mobile home owned by Edd Dahl of the Wmdberg Road, six miles north "of Cedarville, caught fire about 2 a.m.

last Friday when Dahl attempted to reig- nite a flooded oil heater which had gone out. The very fact that Dahl slammed the door shut when he was leaving helped make the home air tight and helped smother the Hudson. He said that firemen got to the fire about 15 minutes after the alarm, and had there been a strong draft the home would have been demolished. As it was most of the damage was from smoke. The Dahl home had initially been heated by propane gas, but because of the price of this fuel, Dahl had switched to oil.

Hudson said that earlier another home in the area had been damaged by fire because of a switch in fuels caused the energh crunch.
