Right, now the Eagle golfers stand second the district, a big 10 strokes back of Carlsbad. But a more consistent performance could push the Eagles right to the top.

The Eagle golfers are the defending district champions. Gym Tourney Set Saturday Hobbs High will its first invitational gymnastics meet in its history Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. Teams from Carlsbad, Lovington and Eunice have been invited to take part. Carlsbad is the defending state champs in girl's gymnastics and Lovington has been state champions many times while Eunice 'features Steve Hohimer, one of the best gymnasts the area.
