President Carranza left Mexico City with the members of his family for Querctaro, 110 miles northwest of the capital- It is believed the purpose of presidents trip Is to attend the mar-; rlage of his daughter, Virginia, aadj General Candido Aquiiar, the former; provisional minister. At the request of the state automobile department the police force is, in" a quiet way, straightening ou the tangle existing over chauffeurs' cards and commercial automobile licenses in the city. No arrests have been made for this class of -violations and probably will not be, if the law is complied-with in the future. The police instead have been notifying violators where they were wrong.

Many, of these, they say, have not been conscious that they were breaking the law. Most of the violations consist of driving cars used in delivery and peddling under pleasure car licenses instead of commercial licenses as is required by law. Most of the car owners who were seen' a desire to comply with the statute in this matter. Several drivers of commercial cars were found without chauffeur's licenses. This condition arose from new drivers being hired, who had not been able to take out their cards.

OLEAN SCHOOL OF The university of the State of New York Informs us that the use of the word "college" Is restricted to chartered institutions. In Canada where I conducted a similar Institution there was no such restriction and I was not cognizant of the legislation in this state. 4 I very cheerfully and promptly announce the change of name to Olean School of Business. I am a college graduate holding the degrees A. and Ph.D., from the Ohio Northern Univerity and Austin College of Illinois.

The Olean School of Business will specialize in Commercial, Stenography and Academic Studies, which latter includes Latin, Greek, French and German languages. School will open Tuesday, September 4.
