A "The first family doesn't live in the White House. They live right here." "You won't see my family on the covers of magazines. But, to me, no other PLANNING family comes first. COMFORTABLE HOME "And no other home is more important than the one we've made for our family. "I can't say it's lavish, but inside we've made it as warm and comfortable as any home I know.

But that's exactly what you'd expect for the most important family in America." Because nothing means more to you than your family, you want the home you make for them to be as comfortable as possible. And that's why The Home Furnishings Council has prepared HAVEN Planning A Comfortable Home, a magnificent 48-page step-by-step planner filled with HOME invaluable ideas, sensible plans and economical suggestions. 1990 Home Furnishings Council It all begins at home. Ask BY MARILYN VOS SAVANT Suppose you're on a game show, and you're given the choice of three doors: Behind one door is a car; behind the others, goats. You pick a door, say No. 1, and the host, who knows what's behind the doors, opens another door, say No. 3, which has a goat.

He then says to you, "Do you want to pick door No. Is it to your advantage to switch your choice? -Craig F. Whitaker, Columbia, Md. Yes; you should switch. The first door has a one-third chance of winning, but the second door has a two-thirds chance.

Here's a good way to visualize what happened. Suppose there are a million doors, and you pick door No. 1. Then the host, who knows what's behind the doors and will always avoid the one with the prize, opens them all except door You'd switch to that door pretty fast, wouldn't you? The answer to this question may help me get my life together, so please think hard and try to answer it. I have a lot of love to give, yet no specific individual to give it to.

What do I do with it? Also, what if there is no specific individual ever? -Anonymous Having no information about you in particular, I'll answer for all those who might ask the question. If your heart isn't busy, let your head go to work: consider giving your love to the most deserving but "neediest" individual you can find, whether at work, at school or down the blockthe person who deserves love the most but who has it the least. And don't stop with just one; give it to another and then another. But do me a favor, will you? Include a few unmarried members of the opposite sex. If you have a question for Marilyn vos Savant, who is listed in the "Guinness Book of World Records Hall of Fame" for "Highest IQ," send it to: Ask Marilyn, PARADE, 750 Third New York, N.Y.
