El Dorado Friday, August 12,1966 Arts Center's Fund Benefits From Musical The Fine Arts Center's operating fund will receive the proceeds from Sound of Musk" which will be presented by Little Theater at the Center beginning August 17. The Rogers and Hammerstein musical will be directed by Tony Michaels and eight performances will be given. The three participating groups which headquarter at the Fine Arts Center are Little Theater, the El Dorado Division of South Arkansas Symphony, and El Dorado Art League. All groups are actively promoting the show and helping with the sale of tickets. Playing the roles of Nuns are Chris Keys, Margaret Compton, Dot Sheppard, Nancy Ripley and Peggy Stratton.

Penny Garrett will play the role of Elsa Schraeder, Capt. von Trapp fiancee. Lee Zachary will have the role of Max Detweiler, friend of von Others in the cast include James Goolsby, who will play Franz; Mary Egerer, new postulant; Rosy Coley, Frau Schmidt, the housekeeper; Bill Benson, Herr Zeller; Oliver Bass Baron Elberfeld; and Charles VanNess, Adm. von Schreiber Others who will appear as Nuns are Gene Cox, Jina Kaldem, Kay Eanes, Pam Bell, Susan Burbank, Cheryl Crites, Janis Johnston, Betty Robinson, Sheri Stripling and Carol Milam. Following opening night, performances will be given on August 18, 19, 20, and a matinee on August 21 The show will be given on August 25, 26, and 27 Tickets for other than opening night are available at Casual House, Exchange Drug, Melody Mart, Greater El Dorado Committee, and from all members of Little Teater Tickets for opening night are being handled by a committee headed by Mrs Thomas L.

Hillsboro St. is celebrating 20 years of business in Ell Dorado with an anniversary sale. The company opened in 1946 as a distributor of Royal typewriter, and now sells, in addition to Royals, Victor business machines, Sweda cash registers, Copy Rite duplicators, Eastman Kodak copiers, Ape- co copiers, Mosier safes, and Smith-Corona portable typewriters.

Joe Stuart opened his first office in El Dorado in the former Harris Trimble Building at 214 Elm St. Within a few months the office moved to larger quarters in the same building, and in June, 1947, a ground floor location at 212 E.
