Thai means they add valuable calcium for building; teeth and bones, as well ts essential top-grade protein. jfi Peach C'usUrd f*' (Makes 6 tervlnjs) Two cups water, 2 eggs, i/ 2 tea- < spoon almond extract, % cup non-1 fat dry milk powder, y t cup sugar, 1 4%-ounce jar strained peaches. Pour water into & one-quart Jar j equipped with a secure lid. Sprinkle nonfat dry milk powder over warm water. Cover and, shake until powder is dissolved. | Let stand until foam disappears, j Pour into top of a double boiler; i scald over slowly boiling water, j Beat eggs until thick and lemon • colored; beat in sugar and almond i extract. Slowly stir scalded lique-| tied nonfat dry milk into eggs; j blend Well. . j Put about 1 tablespoon of] strained peaches into bottom of six j individual baking custard cups. : four custard mixture into cups. Place cups in baking pan. Put in preheated oven (300 degrees F.) and pour hot water around cups U> depth of one-inch. Bake until n knife inserted near center conies out clean, about 60 ,»55 minutes. Remove from water SiHi and cool. Chill before serving, j T«nllla Peppermint Pudding ' (Makes I «ervinr 5 ) Two cups water, 3 ,4 cup nonfat dry milk powder, 1 3',4-ounce package vanilla pudding mix, 2 tablespoons crushed peppermint candies (8 %-inch peppermint candies). Pour water into deep bowl. Sprinkle nonfat dry milk powder over surface of water. Beat with rotary beater until blended. Empty contents of pudding mix Into saucepan. Gradually add liquefied nonfat dry milk, blending well. Add crushed peppermint candies. Cook, stijcing constantly, over me-; dium heat until mixture begins to I boil and thickens, about 5 minutes". Pour into individual serving dishes. Chill. Garnish with additional crushed peppermint candies and serve with chocolate sauce.
