TtrrrTmnrS CHRISTIAN HISTORY OF CONGREGATION The North Park Christian church, st Kenwood avenue and Twenty-ninth street, will be formally opened and dedicated Sunday. There will be serrlces at 10:30, 3 and 7:30 o'clock.

The ministers and i member, of other Christian churches In the city have been invited to take part la the dedicatory exercises, and it Is expected that the afternoon service will be In the nature of a love feast. Visiting- pas- tore will extend congratulations from the neighboring churches. A special prepara tory service will be held Saturday evening. The Rev. F.

M. Rains, of Cincinnati, will preach at both the morning and even- Ins services on Sunday. There will be special music. There Is a rreat difference between the North Park Christian church In point of numbers and in the value of property in 1897 and the edifice that will be dedicated Sunday. The church was organised June JO.

1S97, with thirty members, on the third floor of a hail at Illinois ana 1 niniexn streets. Of the faithful few who assembled Sunday after Sunday in the hall each contributed his mite and during the first year the church was able to buy a lot and erect a frame building at a cost of 12.350. For a time this place was large enough, but the congregation grew In sixe, and to accommodate the Sunday school and the various organisations of the church, at different times additions costing 12.1 JO were made. Frame Building Too This big frame building was the home of the North Park Christian church for years. But the family grew too large for the home, and it was decided to enlarge It.

On June 24 the contract was let to W. M. McCullen, of this city, and the plane were drawn by L. IL Sturges. The members of the building committee were T.

a Lamb, H. A. Henry, Dr. H. B.

Sellers, George W. Seiby and the pastor, the Rev. George B. McKee. This committee gave a great deal of Its time an the members worked as hard to bring about a successful ending of the building scheme as If the members of the committee were working for a home for themselves.

In this they were greatly asslstod by the board of trustees and the official board of the church. The trustees are Dr. II. B. Sellers.

J. M. Whar ton and C. S. Grout.

The members of the official board are E. M. Burge, J. 11. McHenry and Dr.
