The bill also includes Lizzie Mc-Keever, Millard brothers, and Edward La Zelle. The Olympic offers the hazardous globe as its chief attraction for this week. This sensational thriller Is exhibited by Dr.

Clarke and daughter, who accomplish some daring feats of bicycle riding in the huge globe. Jessie Couthoui. the Chicago artist, who has bten absent from the stage for two years, will return In her monologue sketch, "Eleven Forty P. The management of Chutes park has provided arother sensational novelty In a championship ski riding contest between Captain Carl Howelsen, holder of the world's record, which be won at Christianla In 1903, and HJalmar Anderson, local amateur expert. Summer ski riding Is a genuine novelty, as it is only possible here an incline such as Chute park affords can be had. The contestants, mounted on skis, or Ice runners, twelve feet long, descend steep declivities with the speed of the wind, and at the end of the point of the rise spring into the air, often 100 feet distant from tbe point of the rise and from fifty to seventy-flve feet In altitude. A steel track and Chutes lake will be the substitutes for an icy glacier and snow tfrift. While to attempt this feat would mean certain destruction to a novice, experts survive its perils uninjured Captain Howelson has a record of a flight seventy-five feet above tbe point of rise and lift feet in distance.

In the vaudeville theater the new bill includes Count De Butz and brother, comedy bicycle act; Innes and Ryan, singing and talking act; Ed Moon, musical actr De Van brothers, acrobats; Raimund and Good, comedy. The fifty shows at Rlverview park have been augmented by Pain's "Last Days of Pompeii," the fireworks spectacle, which was the feature attraction at White City for three weeks earlier in the season.

Pain has given his "Pompeii" in Chicago In several summers past, but never before has he produced the spectacle with so much pomp as this year. The roenie picture in this production is 400 feet long, the spectacle employs 5G0 people, has a ballet of 200 girls, a full military band, a score of sensational outdoor vaudeville acts; and a $1,500 fireworks display every night. Rlverview park's success has been so great and the outlook for the future is so promising that architects are already making plans for next season. On the big lot south of the present site. 300 feet wide and 700 feet long, facing on Belmont avenue, which was acquired a few days ago, there Is to be the most modern, up to date scenic railway money can buy.

On the north side of the grounds, running from Western avenue to tbe river, will be constructed a roller coaster, with two miles of tracks and "mile a minute" cars. Orebestras and Bands. The Coliseum has Ellery and his reej and bras8 band, conducted by the volatile eruptive Ferullo, with programs largely classic, yet with enough from the well known Italian and French grand operas to make tbe concerts entertaining in the broadest sense. One of the busiest men In Chicago theatrical affairs at the present time la Ben M. Jerome. In addition to all this be Is supervising all the details of scenery, costumes, and electrical effects for the production of bis new musical piece, which will be tbe first offering of the newly organized "Ben Amusement company," which Is now located In the Schiller building. Tbe Will J. -Block Amusement company, following Its announcement of a few weeks ago, bas established Itself In permanent offlcee In the Schiller building, thus making Chicago the base of Its operations. It is the fixed policy of the block company to bold entirely to productions of ths highest class, to give all ef Its first performances In this city, and to demonstrate that Chicago may be made a producing center of an Important kind. Three more names have been added to the roster of the company which will be seen at the New theater next season.

They are James Dur-kln, Maggie Holloway Fisher, and Sheldon Lewis. Mr. Dnrkln Is probably one of the best known leading men In stock work In ths country. He Is at present leading man at the Davidson theater. Milwaukee.

Maggie Hollowav Fisher Is one of the best known ''old women" of the stage.
