8-Missoulian, Thursday, June 13, 1985 34 students earn presidential honors Thirty-four eighth graders at Rattlesnake School- received the Presidential Academic Fitness Award at graduation June 5. To qualify for this award, each student had to have attained a average accumulated in middle school (grades six through eight) and scored at or above the 80th percentile on nationally recognized standardized achievement tests. One of the students, David Gray. received an Extraordinary Effort Award for his work in school. Other award winners are: Kyle Bailey, Dan Baumann.

Hand, 27. of Missoula died Wednesday in a motorcycle accident on Highway 200 East. He was born April 2. 1958. Missoula to Ralph and Nel Hand.

He attended local schools and then worked in the oil fields in Wyoming before returning to Missoula where he worked for the Bonneville Power Administration. At the time of his death he was part owner of the OK Corral Bar. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Nel and Army Zavarelli. Missoula; a brother, Robert Hand. Denver; a half-brother, Rick Zavarelli, Missoula; four stepbrothers, Frank, John.

Rocco and Joseph Zavarelli, all of Missoula; a half-sister, Barbara Zavarelli, Missoula: and three stepsisters. Elaine Buzzard, in Nova Scotia: Linda Besel. Missoula; and Julie Dexter. Lolo. Friends are asked to meet at Missoula Cemetery for graveside services at 3:30 p.m.

Friday. The Rev. Mark Hiiva will officiate. Livingston-Malletta Geraghty funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Joseph Bugli Rosary for Joseph Bugli will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday at Livingston-Malletta Geraghty Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Rev. Fred Reidy as celebrant.

Burial will follow at St. Mary's Annex Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Qunell, Ted Tabaracci. Eolando Ranieri, Zackary Bugli, Lynn Chartier and Denis Cipolato. Mr.

of Missoula died Tuesday from injuries suffered in a vehicle accident June 1. He was born April 22, 1970. in Missoula to Gary and Diane Larson. He attended Meadow Hill and Cold Spring schools and was currently attending Sentinel High School. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 61 and was an avid sportsman, participating in soccer, football and skiing.

Survivors include his parents. Gary and Diane Larson, Missoula; a brother, Gerry Larson, Missoula: maternal grandmother Dorrien Wolfe. Plains: paternal grandmother. Donna Larson. Missoula: grandfather and step grandmother.

Henry and June Larson. Wash. Funeral services will be held at Friday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Phelps officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park under the direction of Livingston-Malletta Geraghty Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to the Darren Larson Memorial Fund for Sentinel High School. First National Montana Bank. Henry Boehler Memorial services for Henry Boehler will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Community Covenant Church. Squire Simmons Carr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Boehler, 80, of Missoula died Monday afternoon of natural causes in a local hospital. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Feed the Children, P.O. Box 36. Oklahoma City, Okla.

44, of Everett, died Tuesday of cardio-pulmonary arrest in Everett. She was born Feb. 17, 1941. in Missoula to Norbert and Margaret Fried. She grew up in Missoula and attended St.

Francis Catholic Grade School and Missoula County High School. She moved to the Seattle area in 1966. On July 4. 1972. she married Frank Poss in Missoula.

Mrs. Poss was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Missoula and served as chaplain of the Eagles in Everett. She enjoyed R.L. Howell and S.M.

Basil DuCharme Basil DuCharme, 78, of Polson died early Wednesday at St. Joseph Convalescent Home of natural causes. He was born March 15, 1907, in Polson, to Frank and Emerence DuCharme. He grew up in the Polson-Arlee area and attended school at the Jesuit Father's School and the Ursaline Academy in St. Ignatius.

He married Vivian Viola LaMoose in 1934. Mr. DuCharme was employed by Montana Power Co. at Kerr Dam for 32 years. He was a member of the Confederated and Salish Kootenai Tribes, American Legion, VFW, Electrical Brotherhood, and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Polson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, three sisters and a son, Gary. Opening of the Summer Season, Friday, 5-9 p.m., Caras Park.
