I nui auujr Usivuci John Daniell Ill Arthur Ask John "Sam" Rock Daniell 20, a clinical psychology student at the University of Montana, died about Sept. 14 on Hudson Bay during a canoe trip in Canada. He was born Aug. 17, 1961, to the late John R. Daniell Jr.

and to Jacquelyn S. Daniell. in New Haven, Conn. Mr. Daniell was involved in Campus Crusade at UM.

Survivors include his mother and three sisters, Cynthia, Abigail and Rebecca, all of Missoula; his paternal grandmother, Jane S. Daniell, Sarasota, and a niece, Shannon Edleman, Missoula. Memorial funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the First Evangelical Church of North America, 5425 Gharrett with the Rev. Bill Lyons of the Missoula Bible Fellowship officiating.

Friends may call at the family home at 504 W. Kent Ave. DEER LODGE Arthur H. Ask, 70, who was formerly employed at the Anaconda aluminum plant in Columbia Falls, died Sept. 20 in Tucson, Ariz.

He was born Feb. 21, 1911 to Peter and Gunda Ask in Decorah, Iowa. He received his formal education in Decorah and attended Luther College, also in Decorah. He married the former Gladys M. Herbranson and they moved to Deer Lodge in 1953.

In 1955 they moved to Kalispell, and he was employed at the Anaconda plant in Columbia Falls until his retirement in 1973. In 1978 they moved to Tucson. Survivors include his wife, Gladys, Tucson; two daughters, Judy Ask and Joan Brenton, both of Deer Lodge; a brother Ralph, Minneapolis; a sister, Thelma Lubke, Ennis; four grandchildren, and a greatgrandchild. Memorial graveside services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Deer Lodge.

561. Charles A. Kehrwald, 72, of 3417 Kehrwald Drive, Missoula, in his home Tuesday afternoon after a long illness. He was born May 12, 1909 at Wintworth, S.D., to Joe and Alice Kehrwald. He attended school in South Dakota and also attended a boarding school at Eppithany, S.D.

He moved to Billings in 1919. He married Florence Rumley on July 15, 1928. Mr. Kehrwald farmed for They lived in Billings where several years and later worked as a sheepherder. He worked for over 10 years as a planer operator for the Marshall Gray Mill near Seeley Lake.

He also was a ditch rider in the Frenchtown Valley for several years and ranched in the Stevensville area. Floyd Farnsworth DEER LODGE Floyd B. Farnsworth, 80, died in a local nursing home early Wednesday morning. He was born to George and Mary Farnsworth on March 12, 1901 in Joseph, Utah. He was a retired carpenter and worked at the Kennecott Copper Co.

Survivors include his wife, Nola, Magna, Utah; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Rhea Beck, Deer Lodge; five sisters, Alta Chase, Magna; Mary Peterson, American Fork, Utah; Fay, Salt Lake City; Dee, Richfield, Utah; and Mona Delang, Richfield. A brother preceded him in death. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m.

His wife died in September 1977. He married Marie Anderson on Oct. 22, 1978, and they had lived in Missoula since that time. Survivors include his wife, Marie, and a son, Mel Kehrwald, both of Missoula; a stepson, Tim Ritesman, Missoula; a daughter, Melanie Bekeris, Springfield, a brother, Joe Kehrwald, Billings; a sister, Jane Parker, Great Falls; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Mountain View Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Garden of the Last Supper at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the mortuary from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and Friday until 1 p.m. Honorary pallbearers are Marie Cheff KALISPELL Marie Louise Cheff, 91, of 100 Riverside Road, Kalispell, died Wednesday morning in the home of her daughter, Bernida Byrd of Creston. Mrs. Cheff, who had been named Mother of the Year for the state of Michigan, was born Nov.

25, 1889 in Pian Court, Ontario, to Mederick and Edmire Faubert Carnon. She attended parochial schools in Pian Court, and she married Ovila E. Cheff there on Nov. 28, 1905. They moved to Anaconda, where Mr.

Cheff was employed by the Anaconda Co. In 1910 they moved to Ronan, when the Flathead Reservation was first opened to settlement, and they raised 13 children in a log home. There they owned and operated the Starr Bottling Works as well as farm. In 1937, they moved to Detroit, and operated adult foster homes there for 32 years. In 1980, Mrs.

Cheff moved to her daughter's home. Survivors include 11 sons, Rex J. Cheff, Milford, Vern "Bud," Charlo; Floyd, Missoula; Chris, Puerto Orbaz, Venezuela; Louie, Howel, Ovila Charles, Ronan; James and Herman, both of Davisburg, Clarence Bloomfield Hills, and Raymond A. and Harry, both of Columbia Falls; three daughters, Bernida D. Byrd, Creston; Grace Tuumala, Bloomfield Hills; and Josephine R.E.

Schwach, Republic, 131 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 1 19 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Alphonse Carnon; and two sisters, Olivia King, Chatham, Ontario; and Delia King, Pian Court. Mrs. Cheff was preceded in death by her husband in 1956 and by a son, eleven brothers and sisters, and five grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church. Memorial Mass will be at noon Saturday in St.

Richard Catholic Church in Columbia Falls with the Rev. Bernard J. Sullivan, pastor of the parish, officiating. Weatherford Funeral Home of Kalispell is in charge of arrangements and cremation. Robert Gale Dunlap, 90, Huson, died Monday in a Polson nursing home of natural causes. He was born Aug. 21, 1891 at Rock Creek, east of Missoula, to Florence and William Dunlap. As a young boy he worked with his father in mining throughout Montana. He entered the U.S.

Army in 1917 and was discharged in 1919. He and his wife, Mrytle, were married in 1929 in Denver. Colo While in Colorado -Robert DunlapMr. Dunlap worked as a custodian for the Postal Service and later at Fitzsimmons government hospital in Denver. He retired and moved to Hamilton in 1960, and to Huson in 1969.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Denver, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Hamilton and the Senior Citizens Association in Missoula. His wife died in 1959.
