J. C. Beck Selected as Officer in PTA DRUMMOND Mrs, J. C. Beck was elected as vice president at a meeting of the Drummond PTA Tuesday evening in the school-house.

The vacancy was created by the resignation of Mra. Frank Ramberg. At the meeting conducted by Mrs. Alton Maughan, president, it was voted that the organization will purchase caps for members of the school band. The Band Parents members will Join the PTA and conduct their meeting on the same evening with the group.

For their first out-of-towa performance, the band will play at the basketball tournament to be held in Missoula the end of this month. The school bus has been chartered for the trip. Due to the absence of the scheduled guest speaker, Cpl. Claussen of Helena, a movie was shown on "Safety ln Aviation." Those serving on the lunch committee were Mrs. John Magnus-sen, Mrs.

Clifford Spencer, Mrs. George Lacey and Mrs. E. G. Allen.

L. L. Like, Drummond postmaster, was admitted to the St. Patrick Hospital, Missoula, early Sunday morning. He and Mrs.

Like had accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Nelson to their summer home ln the Seeley Lake area for the weekend and he became ill while there. Janece Johnson has gone to Sun Valley, Idaho, where she Is employed. Mrs.

D. G. Corlett is visiting in the home of a daughter and family, Mrs. William Woolston, in Miles City. Mrs.

Ramberg, who had been the Sunday School superintendent for nearly four years, recently resigned the position. Games were played with prizes going to Mrs. C. H. Wilson and Mrs.

J. W. Ahlin, Mrs. Claude James and Mrs. E.

L. Clawson. The gifts were presented to her in a stork basket made by Mrs. Ahlin. A no-host lunch was served at the close of the evening.
