John Williams (Patricia Ann Meyer) of Pleasant Lake, N. was given Saturday afternoon of last week end in the Flamingo room of the Park hotel. The luncheon table had a floral centerpiece, and each guest received a small corsage as a Mrs. Williams is a teacher at Washington school, and her husband is a private in the army, stationed in Japan. Badgley and Mrs. E. B. Dugan. Missoula's Retired Teachers Honored at Lunch Retired Missoula school teachers were honored guests at the annual spring luncheon of Eta chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, educational honorary, Saturday of last week end at the Missoula Country club.

Florence Brinton, newly-elected president, presided at the luncheon. Greta Seibel of Superior read a tribute to the teachers. The honored guests were called upon by Gertrude Clark to relate some of their experiences during their teaching careers. They were Retta Armstrong, Marion Porter- field, Ida Southwick, Mary George, Catherine Griffin, Edna Mann, Elsie Waddell, Neva Copeland and Berenice Andrew, retired teacher from another locale. Red carnation corsages were presented to all the guests, and large bowl of the flowers was the luncheon table centerpiece.

Miss Copeland, who recently returned from several months spent in Mexico and in the southern states, told of her trip and exhibited several articles brought back from Mexico. She told how she and her traveling companion, Mrs. George Jennings of Flathead lake, got mixed up in the international bicycle race being held in Mexico as they were driving in their car. C. Carnall received pinochle awards. State OES Officer Pays Visit To Electa Chapter Alma H. Schultz of Miles City, grand matron of the grand chapter, Order of Eastern Star of Montana, paid her official visit to Electa chapter No. 7 on Thursday evening.

Next Thursday evening she will visit Immanuel chapter No. 54 in Missoula. Mrs. Schultz and Arthur B. Small of Creston, grand patron.

Members' Works Are Read For AAUW Program Reading of excerpts of writings of the creative writing group formed the program at the general meeting of the American Association of University Women Tuesday evening in the Governor's room of Hotel Florence. Cecil Bull, chairman, read poems, sketches and a short story written by members of the group during the year, The creative writing group is open to all women Interested in any type of creative writing. Compositions are read aloud at monthly meetings and are criticized. Several members of the group have had their work published. Ellen Torgrimson was hostess for the coffee hour that followed the program.

At IOOF Hall Members took part in obligation and friendship night rites at the Esther Rebekah lodge No. 5 meeting at the IOOF hall. Noble Grand Bessie Allen presided. Members with birthdays in Jan uary, February and March received gifts and were honored with a song. Refreshments were served by Mary Cooksley, Marta Taylor and Gladys Flink.

The bride wore a gold gabardine suit with white accessories, a white hat with a long veil and a lavender orchid corsage. Mrs.

Mr. Hansen attended schools In Philipsburg and Butte and is a senior in the MSU school of journalism.

Delegates Named Twenty-four 'memDers of the Navy Mothers club met at Union hall on Tuesday evening, when plans were completed for a food sale and bazaar to be May 11. Mrs. Floyd Traxler and Mrs. Louis Buckmaster will go as delegates to the Navy Mothers rally in We- natchee, next month, it was announced. 1 Refreshments were served by Mrs.

Sam Johnson and Mrs. Traxler. The German band from Missoula county high school played several selections. Its members are Bob Peters, George Fleming, Jim Snider, Ron Dufresne and Leo Musberger. National Officer Feted Several Missoula members of the United Spanish War Veterans and auxiliary attended a banquet at Lloyds in Butte honoring their national president, Lillian E.

Bauman of Michigan City, Friday of last week end. Missoulians present were Auxiliary Past Department Presidents Bertha Steven, Ellen Shields and Marjorie Richardson and Department Senior Vice President Almeda Goforth and a past post department commander, Harold Tilzey. Friendship Night Women of the Moose attended a special friendship meeting at Moose hall last week.

Marvel Cowley, president, presided. Four were initiated. Eleanor Hait, friendship chairman, had charge of the program, which consisted of baton twirlers, piano selections by Mary Frances Wadsworth. Helen Tilcher and Mary Ann Baudendistel of Sacred Heart academy. Eleanor Hait and her committee served lunch.

Ted Gartman was best man and Dallas J. Reed, Charles L. Preuninger, Wayne Mowbray and Lawrence F. Wilkinson ushered. The bride's gown was of nylon tulle, with narrow bands of satin forming an oval yoke and trimming the full, long train.

Her headdress was of shirred nylon net, cloche style and trimmed with seed pearls and braided satin, with a fingertip-length veil. She carried an orchid with streamers and stephanotis. Miss Loiselle was in pale green swiss organdy over satin, and she wore a satin cap and carried a colonial bouquet. Miss Dufresne's gown was of orchid organdy over pink satin, Her headband was of shirred organdy trimmed with lilies of the valley, and she carried a colonial bouquet. For the wedding and reception that followed at the Delta Gamma chapter house, Mrs.

Dufresne wore a navy dress trimmed with Alice blue, blue accessories and a corsage of white gladioli centered with rose buds. Mrs. Weston chose an orchid suit with purple accessories, and her corsage was of white glads centered with violets. The Delta Gamma Mothers club was in charge of the reception, and mothers assisting were Mrs. John Sinnott, Mrs.

C. H. Dragstedt, Mrs Orville Peek Mrs. L. E.

Bunge and Mrs. Roy Ely. A four-tiered wedding cake made by Sister Vincenza, cousin of the bride, was topped by a keepsake bride and groom decoration. On each side of the cake were handfashioned heirloom wedding candles. The cake was cut by Eileen Plumb and served by senior girls of the sorority.

Mrs. F. G. Dratz, JOelta Gamma housemother, and Alma Day, aunt of the groom, presided at the tea table. Maxine Anderson, accom panied by Elsie Taylor, sang "At Dawning" and "Through the Mrs.

James Klrkemo was in charge of the guest book. After the reception the bridegroom's parents were hosts at a dinner for the bridal couple and Mr. and Mrs. Dufresne at the Palace hotel dining room. The newlyweds planned to go to Salt Lake City, Denver and Omaha on their way to Sioux City, where they will live.

For travel, the bride wore a pink knit wool suit, pink and navy accessories and the orchid corsage from her bouquet. Mrs. Weston attended Missoula schools and was a senior at Montana State University. She has been president of Delta Gamma sorority for the past year, and also is a member of Phi Chi Theta, women's business honorary. The bridegroom was graduated from Missoula schools and from the MSU school of journalism.

He was a member of Sigma Delta Chi, honorary journalism fraternity. Formerly news editor at KGVO in Missoula, he is with the news department of WNAX in Sioux City. Out-of-town guests at the wedding were Mis. J. E.

Munro, Helena; Mrs Alfred Hanson, Drummond; Mrs. E. West, Seattle; Robert Lazick, Butte; Jo Ann Blair, Helena, and Allen Lewis, Livingston. Hellgate Club Meeting Mrs. Edwin Stahl and Mrs.

Clif ford Frey served, a dessert lunch at the Hellgate Home Demonstration club meeting Saturday of last week end at the schoolhouse. The two women also gave the lesson on fabrics. With Mrs. d'Amboise Their last meeting for this year was attended by Park Addition "club members at the home of Mrs. Jeff d'Amboise, Rattlesnake valley, last week.

Ava Covey installed Susan Shuck as president for the coming year. Ruth Waldbillig, vice president Margaret Graham, secretary, and Mrs. Ruby Youngquist, treasurer Luncheon was served. Officers Elected New officers were elected by section 7, Three Link Sewing circle, at the home of Mrs. Lauterly Miller Wednesday.

Elected were Mrs. Zay Morgan, president, and Hazel Bruck-man, secretary-treasurer. Winifred Thomas was surprised with a birthday cake and gift. Highlight of the evening was the revealing of secret pals. Mrs.

Miller served refreshments. Invitation Accepted An Invitation to attend the Friday meeting of Charity Rebekah lodge No. 11, Hamilton, was accepted by members of Missoula Re-btkah No. 117 at their meetmg Monday at the IOOF hall. Members will attend with the degree staff, and will conduct in itiation rites during the visit.

The trip will be made by chartered bus and those wishing to attend may make reservations with Jessie Mc Laughlin. Baillie, 119 Mount avenue, for about a week, Mrs. Bernard, formerly Edna Swedlund, at one time taught clothing and art classes at Missoula county high school. In Seattle she has been giving radio talks on art and on beautifying the home. A farewell Dartv for Norma Janke, recently transferred to Bozeman by the Northern Pacific railway, was given Saturday of last week end by Mrs. Prank.

T. E. Shardlow, Miss janite and Mrs. Sullivan. Painter Is Speaker For Art Department Eda Nemoede Casterton, miniature and portrait painter, was speaker for the art department of the Missoula Woman's club on Monday at the club-art building.

Mrs. Casterton displayed several of her miniatures, which are painted on ivory, as well as a number of large oil portraits of Missoula cnu-dren painted recently. Mrs. Casterton studied in Minne apolis, Chicago and Paris, and was taught miniature painting Dy Virginia Reynolds of Chicago, who had also taueht in Paris. She has received a silver medal at the Panama Pacific International Exoosltion in San Francisco, a bronze medal at the Sesquicenten nial exposition in.

Mr. Wilson, touring the state as an MIA instructor, will speak and demonstrate leather work at 8 p. m. in the art room on the second floor of Missoula county high school. Any one interested in leather craft may attend, according to Mrs.

B. F. Johnson, chairman of the arts and crafts department of the Missoula MIA branch. The regular Thursday meeting of the arts and crafts department will be postponed next week because of the Wednesday session, Mrs. Johnson said.

Miss Manley is an elementary school teacher in Missoula, and Mr. Hegland is with the engineering department of the Northern Pacific railway at Spokane.
