Eggenhofer also wrote and illustrated two books. "Wagons, Mules and Men" was published in 1961 and his autobiography, "Horses, Horses, Always Horses," was published by him in 1981. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member (Emeritus) Cowboy Artist of America. Sur Ivors include one daughter, Mrs. George (Evelyn) Herman of Powell; one brother, Benedikt of Dumont, N.J.; one sister, Mrs.

Margaret Jaubalt, of Santa Fe. N.M.; a grandson, George Herman III, and a granddaughter Nicole Herman, both of Powell. Funeral services will be 1 1 a.m. Monday at the Ballard Funeral Home in Cody with cremation to follow. A.

Swan the early 1980s. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. Besides his widow of Rapid Ciu-ty, he is survived by two daughters, Sandra Garteiz of Reno, and Carol Ramsey of Casper; a son, Gerald, stationed with the U.S. Air Force in the Philippines; three stepsons, Marvin and Don Franklin, both of Spokane, and Barry Frankilin of Seattle; three brothers, Harold and Homer, both of Rapid City, and George of Green Bay, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.

A memorial has been established in his name. thru Fri. Edie Howard Natrona County Treasurer LUSK Services for Ada Blanche Erlewine, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Peet Mortuary Chapel, with the Rev. Roy Howell officiating. Ms.

Erlewine died Thursday morning at Niobrara Memorial Hospital in Lusk. Born Jan. 14, 1909, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, she was the daughter of Samuel H. and Ada McKinney Erlewine. The family moved to Van Tassell in 1913 and Ms.

Erlewine attended schools in Van Tassell and Lusk. She was employed at the drug store and at Best Grocery in Van Tassell. The family moved to Lusk in 1930 and she was later employed at the Golden Rule Store in Lusk. In 1952, she was employed as office manager for Wasson Chevrolet in Lusk for 27 CODY Nicholas "Nick" Eggenhofer, 87, died in the West Park Hospital in Cody Thursday afternoon. Eggenhofer was born in Gauting, Bavaria, Dec, 5, 1897, a son of Bcnedikt and Margaret Eggenhofer.

On May 7, 1924, he married Louise Strube in Union City, N.J. The couple moved to Cody in November 1961. Mrs. Eggenhofer died on Sept. 15, 1983.

He was an ariist-illustrator and was a graduate of Cooper Union in New York City. Eggenhofer was recognized as the dean of Western illustrators. His career began with the Western pulp magazines, which lasted from 1920 to 1950. During this period it is estimated that he completed more than 15,000 line drawings. Later he illustrated more than 50 books on the American West.

Orville MEETEETSE Funeral services for former Casper resident, Orville A. Swan, 70, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Behrens Mortuary in Rapid City, S.D. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday the Meeteetse Cemetery under the direction the Ballard Funeral Home of Cody.

Swan died Tuesday at his home in Rapid City. He was born March 4, 1915, in Caputa, S.D., and was reared and educated in Rapid City. He married Lucille Franklin in 1965 at Lander. Swan was employed in highway construction for the Rissler-McMurry Co. and had lived in Casper, moving to Rapid City in years, retiring in 1980.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Ms. Erlewine was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, five brothers and two nephews. Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Lucille Erlewine and Verda Erlewine, both of Lusk; two nephews, Ted Erlewine of Rapid City, S.D., and Sam Erlewine of Lusk; five nieces, Betty Golden of Harrison, Gladys Stellphlug of Fort Laramie, Garnet Hecker of Van Tassell, Sheila Kolvites of Brighton, and Linda Johnson of Yuma, and numerous other relatives. Burial will be in the Lusk Cemetery.

Memorials to the Niobrara County Ambulance Fund would be appreciated. in 1925, they moved to the family ranch and ranched until his retirement in 1955. They then moved into Buffalo where they were living when he died. He was a member of Anchor Lodge No. 7 Shrine Temple of Sheridan, Buffalo United Methodist Church and was Past Associate Grand Guardian, Jobs Daughters of Wyoming.

Bes'des his widow, he is survived by one son, Richard Kopps of Salinas, five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son and one sister. Memorials to the Buffalo United Methodist Church or the Shrine Hospital for Crippled Children in care of the Adams Funeral Home would be equally appreciated. Rufus James Copps BUFFALO Services for Wyoming pioneer, Rufus James Copps, 87, will be Monday 10:30 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev.

Dwan Shipley officiating. Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with Anchor Lodge No. 7 in charge of Masonic graveside rites. Copps died suddenly Wednesday evening at his home in Buffalo. Born July 17, 1897, on the family ranch near Buffalo, he was the son of Wesley and Mary Copps.

He was reared and edcuated in Buffalo and graduated from high school in Hollywood, in 1915. He attended the University of Southern California. On June 4, 1919, he married Beatrice Albright in Hollywood..
