Forsllng. local representative of the U. S. Market News service.

The situation in the drought stricken area of northeastern Wyoming became more severe. A tew bands of ewes were being moved to more favorable sections and some bands of ewes and lambs are being offered for sale, being quoted at around $7 to $8 per pair, for ewe and lamb. There was marked activity in feeder lamb contracting over the week in the state, trade interests reporting the closing of deals involve tag 60.000 or more lambs during the period. In central Wyoming around 20.000 or possibly more, mostly whitefaced; lambs secured $7.75 to $8 per cwt. Most of these were for late September, a few for October 5th delivery.

Contracts covering the sale of more than 30.000 feeder lambs were reported drawn In southern Wyoming at $8 per cwt. for probably October delivery. It Is felt that most of these lambs contracted recently will go to corn-belt feeders. While a few of the $8 contracts are said to provide for guaranteed average weights of 60 pounds or slightly over, most of the deals do not call for such provisions. Most of the contracts call for 45 pound minimum weights and the last, 3300,000 as compared with one million.
