MISSOURI At Old Moreau Heights School Irma Korte, Guest of Honor Practical Nursing Open House Miss Irma Korte, Helsinki, Finland, was the guest of honor Friday afternoon when the Jefferson City School of Practical Nursing entertained at Open Miss Korte, an American FJeld Sen-ice student, is studying art at the Senior High School where she is enrolled as a senior. A st'tU life picture of fruit was selected irom her portfolio, as a gift to the School of Practical Nursing. The tea table was covered with a green linen cloth and centered with an arrangement of green candles and an imported Austrian Christmas tree. Mrs.

Jewell Leslie Pratt. Mrs. Ina Robinette and Miss Phyllis Jean Watson served. Assisting generally were Miss Judy Sowinski, Miss Elaine Tamb- ke, Miss Shirley Reynolds, Mrs. Beverly Mulkey, Mrs.

Ella Lcisch- ner, Mrs. Anne Jackson, Mrs. Hazel Kirkpatrick, of the second class in Licensed Practical Nursing. Among the guests were Mrs. Robert L.

Hawkins, Jr. Irma is making her American home with the Hawkins family, at 141 Boonville Road. Mrs. Una Thomas, R.N., Mrs. Betty Massman, R.N.

and Mrs. Marianna Keown, R.N., Instructors in the School of Practical Nursing, greeted the guests. Postal Clerks Auxiliary Holds Dinner, P.arty The Auxiliary of the National Federation of Postal Clerks met at Veit's for their annual Christmas dinner and party. A crystal bowl of red balls amid greenery flanked by red tapers completed the table decorations, along with red felt boats adorned with miniature trees decorated with sparkle, stars holding candy canes at each place. Following the dinner a social program was enjoyed by Mrs.

Ben Backer, Mrs. Gerald Wekenborg, Mrs. John Benne won prizes for games played. Mrs. Don Hirsch, who was welcomed as a new member, won the door prize.

The January meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Lewis Bassman. At that time the new officers will be installed for 1962. Happy Nine Club Holds Christmas Dinner Mrs. Henry Euettgers entertained members of the Happy Nine Club with a Christinas dinner and party at her home on Fulkerson Street, Thursday evening. The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. D. Russell Lytle before an altar decorated with Red PoinsetU plants and Holly. Carl Burkel, organist, played the traditional wedding music preceding the ceremony. Bob Balmer sang "I Love You Truly," and immediately after the ceremony, ''The Lord's Prayer." The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of de- lustered satin fashioned with 'a scoop neck and long sleeves tapering to a point over the wrist.

The fitted bodice was accented at the neckline with heavily re-embroidered alecon lace; The appliqtied lace motif was repeated on the front panel of the very full bouffant skirt of unpress- ed folds which extended into a flowing Chapel train. Her fingertip Frenca illusion veil was secured by a white satin rose outlined with pearls. She carried a white Bible, a childhood gift from her maternal grandparents, overlaid with a white orchid. Mrs. roommate of the bride, was Matron of Honor and Miss Fattie Goodin, sister of the bride, and Miss Judy Whitener, sister of the bridegroom, served as bridesmaids.

They wore street length dresses of moss green Peau de Soie, styled with scoop necklines and three- quarter length sleeves. The bell skirt was accented with a draped neck and slanting bow. Matching headresses with circular veils completed their ensembles and they carried cascade bouquets 6f red carnations surrounded with Holly. Miss Jody Hoffmeyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Robert Hoffmeyer, was flower girl. Her dress was fashioned similar to the bride's endants and she wore a Small wrist corsage of red feathered carnations and Carried a basket edged in holly and containing white pedals. Master Randy Whitener, nephew of the bridegroom, served as ring- bearer. Mr. Whitener chose his brother, Bobby Joe Whitener of Marquand, as bestman.

Bennie Goodin, brother of the bride, and David LePage served as groomsmen. Candlelighters were Charles Goodin, cousin of the bride, and Gene Fox.
