The Reynolds recycling van will make appearances in the Northway Plaza November 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It was at the plaza Oct. 24. "We hate to disappoint anyone who makes an effort to collect beverage cans for recycling," John Falk, Recycling Plant Manager in Utica, points out.

"So to recognize throw-away money, look for aluminum cans. They are easy to pick out because they have no side seams, are lightweight and have rounded bottoms. You can use a magnet to be doubly sure. Magnets are not attracted to aluminum," he said. Unlike some types' of ecology projects, such as paper and glass, aluminum has not suffered a waining interest due to the economy.
