Always numerous, cooking of the new deal's alphabet soup has provided them such vegetables to buzz around as they never saw before. Some of the administration Insiders are disturbed by the situation. Shop Around Novelty was Injected into an entertainment Monday night of the Izaak Walton league when a box social that conformed to the best traditions of early days capped a program celebrating the national anniversary of the organlaztlcn of the local chapter's new rustic lodge west of Casper. Fireplaces blazed brightly at either end of the commodious main clubroom, and a crowd made up of several score members, theif guests and wives participated in the festivities. A sale of the ornate boxes preceded the supper hour and a considerable sum was realized to finance some of the furnishings of the lodge. Charles E. Piersall was auctioneer and only one box cf coal and coke was sold.

Decoration cf the boxes revealed many ornate styles. In opening the meeting, Ralph H. Lytle, president of the chapter, referred briefly to the objects and purposes of the national organization, reviewed achievements of the Casper unit during the last year, and outlined plans for the future. With a recreatlorl center as provided by the lodge around which to build, it Is proposed to add rifle and archery ranges, skeet shooting to supplement the traps, and to place boats and canoes on the river. The league grounds adjoin those cf the Fort Caspar park, which are in line for development, and were landscaped last year by the planting of hundreds cf trees and shrubs, most of which weathered the severe drougth.

After turning the meeting over to Piersall, who presided as chairman, Lytle read an interesting and infor mative paper on "The Mocse," which will be added to the league library. In it he brought out the history cf this distinctive game animal, its habits and characteristics. It is the only animal, he said, that has come down through the ages em-tracing hundreds of thousands of years to remain unchanged. The moose Is believed to have emigrated to the North American continent from Asia by way cf the peninsula which ones crossed the North Pacific and the Bering straits. Lytle embellished his story by personal experience and observation.

Piersall-took advantage cf the opportunity to emphasize the significance of the league anniversary, and paid tribute to the organization as the only national group pledged to conservation purposes. A little later he qualified for the "tall story" club by reciting his most exciting moment in hunting big game, a tale that contained all the elements of susupense.
