1 Obituaries Cleo Schofield Dies Suddenly Cleo William Schofield, 62, of Route 2, was dead on arrival at Community Hospital at 9-05 a.m. today. Mr. Schofield had gone (o work for the City of Moberly and returned home af ler becoming ill and was taken lo the hospital by ambulance. Born in Taney County, Missouri, on March 9, 1909, he was a son of James E.

and Susan Abney Schofield and lived in the Moberly area most of his life. He was employed the pasl 18 years by the City of Moberly and was serving as street sweeper. He was a member of the Nazarene Church. Surviving are his wife, Katie Jane; eight children, Raymond Edgar Schofield, Topeka, Mrs. Carol Jean Slires, Eldorado Springs; Mrs.

Reva Jewell Janes, Mrs. Elizabeth Louise Gravitt, Moberly; Mrs. Alicia Paulette Johnson, Moberly; Mrs, Carol Suzanne Freels, Bradley Beach, N.J.; Charles Virgil Schofield, Curtis Wesley Schofield of the home; six step-children; William Noah and Edward Noah, Muscatine, Iowa; Donald Noah, Wapello, Iowa; Mrs. Marilyn Weise, Hayward, Mrs. Ruth Sumpter, Henick; Marvin Noah, Moberly; two sisters, Mrs.

Flora Price, South Gate, and Mrs, Ethel Earvi, Moberly; one brother, John Schofield, Lexington, and 34 grandchildren. The body is at the Cater Funeral Home, where funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday with Artie Whitworth in charge. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m.

Wednesday. Sentenced 30 Days Parole Granted Hospital Notes Robert E. Kendall, Higbee, appeared in Magistrate M. Stringer's court this 'morning and pleaded a charge of common on three counts and was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail. II was alleged in the information filed by Prosecuting Attorney Charming Blaeuer that two assaults wre made on his wife, Dorothy Kendall, and one on his son, 15-yer-old James Kendall on April 24.

Parole was granted Kendall for six months on condition he pay court costs, violate no laws, abstain from drinking, and cause no more trouble in the Kendall home. Flora Oliver Quinn Mrs, Flora Oliver Quinn, 81, formerly of Moberly, passed away Monday at p.m. in Colorado Springs, Colo. Mrs. Quinn was the organizer of the Moberly Beautician Union in Moberly.

A retired Beautician, she was born September 15, 1889 and moved lo Colorado Springs in 1952. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Betty Webb, Colorado Springs, Colo, and Mrs. Mary Ruth Prelas, Moberly. Two grandchildren, James Brenl Webb, Colorado Springs and Patricia Dent, Moberly and one great-grandchild, Steve Dent of Kansas City.

Also several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John F. Oliver, in Jan. of 1942 and her second husband, John F. Quinn, in November of 19C8.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Million-Greer and Comstock Chapel with the Rev. Wilfred House officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemtery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Wednesday. Norma Careaga Mrs. Norma L. Careaga, 44, 465 East Burkhart street, died at 2:34 a.m. today in Community Hospital.

Born Feb. 17,1927, in Moberly, (he daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrell Harlan, St. Louis, she had lived most of her life in Moberly.

Mrs. Careaga was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Surviving are her parents; four daughters, Mrs. Andrew Wang, Jewett, Mrs. James C.

Willingham, Springfield, Margaret Careaga, Moberly, and Christina Careaga, St. Louis; one son, Andrew Careaga, of the home; one brother, Ronald Harlan, Apple Valley, two grandchildren; one nephew and several cousins. Funeral services will" Be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Million, Greer and Comstock Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemtery.

Seven Juveniles Taken to Court Seven juvenile boys appeared in Juvenile Court Monday. Five juveniles were there in connection with the theft made from automobiles on a Norfolk and Western Railway train on April 17, and three were made wards of Ihe court under the supervision of the juvenile officer.

The other two juveniles were reprimanded for their associations with others in the offense reported.
